The Premier League action gets underway this weekend with Manchester United hosting Everton - two clubs whose fan bases are not happy with how the season has panned out.

The previous clash between Man Utd and Everton was a 3-0 win for the Red Devils at Goodison Park, with Alejandro Garnacho scoring a simply ridiculous overhead kick that will surely be the goal of the season.

Man Utd are looking to bounce back after defeats against Fulham and Man City potentially put an end to their late push for Champions League football, while Everton have not won in the Premier League since beating Burnley in December. Sean Dyche's side are five points above the drop, have played a game more than Luton and need to start winning again.

Here is 90min's preview of Man Utd vs Everton.

Man Utd team news

Harry Maguire could be back in action for Man Utd after missing the last two matches with an unspecified injury. Marcus Rashford's knock against Man City is not expected to keep him out of Saturday's clash which is very good news for the Red Devils. Jonny Evans will be assessed after being taken off in the second half against Man City.

Rasmus Hojlund could be fit enough to make the squad this time but is not expected to start, while the usual suspects of Tyrell Malacia, Mason Mount, Lisandro Martinez, Anthony Martial, Luke Shaw and Aaron Wan-Bissaka are all out.

Everton have been fairly settled in regard to injuries recently and after some handy draws in their past five games, Sean Dyche is not expected to make any drastic changes. Idrissa Gana Gueye is a doubt with a groin issue, while Dele Alli and Arnaut Danjuma are not expected to feature.

Fans will be intrigued to see if Beto will start in attack again over Dominic Calvert-Lewin. His goal against West Ham, despite a 3-1 defeat, suggests that he will.

Man Utd vs Everton score prediction

Neither side comes into this match brimming with confidence, but there is always an edge to matches between Man Utd and Everton. Erik ten Hag's side have to be the favourites despite their positive form being halted recently.

Everton may well be able to grab a rare goal thanks to Man Utd's defensive injuries, but even without Hojlund, the Red Devils should have too much for the Toffees and will grab a narrow win.

Prediction: Man Utd 2-1 Everton
