Manchester United travel to Craven Cottage to face Fulham in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon - the top flight's very last game before pausing for the World Cup.

There have been numerous fires for Erik ten Hag to figuratively extinguish since his arrival at Manchester United last summer. Despite noticeable improvement in recent months, the Dutchman hasn't yet addressed his side's attacking set pieces.

Since the start of last season, United have scored just seven goals from dead balls - that's the same tally as their upcoming opponents Fulham, who have only been in the division for three months.

Here's the XI Ten Hag may deploy in a bid to keep the ball in open play as much as possible.

GK: David de Gea - The former Atletico Madrid keeper was in goal when the Spanish outfit defeated Fulham in the 2010 Europa League final.

RB: Victor Lindelof - In light of Diogo Dalot's suspension and the decided lack of faith in Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof may be ushered wider than his normal centre-back slot.

CB: Harry Maguire - According to his England manager Gareth Southgate, Maguire is "one of our best centre-backs". Ten Hag doesn't seem to be quite as keen on the 29-year-old.

CB: Lisandro Martinez - Manchester United fans have commissioned a flag in honour of 'The Butche' dedicated to his nickname and nationality; a giant knife in place of the yellow sun on Argentina's national flag.

LB: Luke Shaw - After six weeks spent watching on from the fringes, Shaw has usurped Tyrell Malacia for Manchester United's left-back spot. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the England international values Ten Hag's meritocracy. “The good thing with this manager is that if you’re not playing well then you won’t play," he said, from experience.

CM: Casemiro - Despite playing barely half of this season's Premier League minutes (53%), Casemiro has recorded a team-high tally of 32 tackles.

CM: Christian Eriksen - The youngest player to feature at the 2010 World Cup is now one of Denmark's senior professionals heading to Qatar.

AM: Bruno Fernandes - During his first Premier League absence since March last weekend, Manchester United recorded their lowest expected goals (xG) tally of the season. Now back from suspension, Fernandes will surely return.

RW: Alejandro Garnacho - Ten Hag was keen to quell the positivity bursting out of the teenager's recent displays - which have brought a goal and two assists in three games - but may turn to him again in the wake of attacking absentees.

ST: Anthony Martial - Only Marcus Rashford has scored more goals for Manchester United this season than Martial, who is averaging one every 55 minutes across all competitions.

LW: Marcus Rashford - The returning England international will have the chance in Qatar to make his first appearance for his country since missing a penalty in the Euro 2020 final.
