Manchester United are back in Premier League action on Wednesday night when they host Brentford at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils fell to defeat at Newcastle last time out, making it three league games without a win or a goal, and three points are needed against a bright Bees team to take a firmer group on a spot in the top four.

Here's the side manager Erik ten Hag may pick to seal victory against Thomas Frank and co.

GK: David de Gea - Didn't get much help from his teammates on Sunday, making four saves in the 2-0 defeat.

RB: Diogo Dalot - Called for greater patience from United in their build-up play. Likely to get the nod again at right back with Aaron Wan-Bissaka ruled out last time with illness.

CB: Raphael Varane - Came off late on against Newcastle as Ten Hag "risked everything" to find an equaliser that never came. Starting spot won't be affected.

CB: Lisandro Martinez - Was brought off alongside Varane before Newcastle grabbed their second. Not at risk of being dropped for Victor Lindelof or Harry Maguire.

LB: Luke Shaw - Not had the greatest few weeks, having been red carded on England duty, and called out his teammates' lack of passion on Sunday.

CM: Fred - Scott McTominay couldn't offer much at the weekend so the Brazilian may come into the starting XI alongside Sabitzer.

CM: Marcel Sabitzer - Could make his loan from Bayernn permanent in the summer but United could do with some more authoratitve performances from Sabitzer now, especially with Casemiro out suspended.

RW: Antony - Got gobbled up by Dan Burn most recently and will hope for a more regularly-sized opponent on Wednesday.

AM: Bruno Fernandes - Has scored in Europea League and FA Cup victories recently but without a goal in the Premier League since early February.

LW: Marcus Rashford - Never got going against Newcastle, failing to have a single shot. Played the whole game despite being an injury doubt.

ST: Wout Weghorst - Weghorst's lack of goals is making him a hindrance to United overall, but Anthony Martial might not be risked from the start just yet.
