The agent of Bayern Munich striker Mathys Tel has admitted they will have to "consider all options" in the summer if the 18-year-old continues to struggle for minutes.

Bayern parted with close to £25m to sign Tel in 2022, just 12 months before they brought Harry Kane to the Allianz Arena, and now the young Frenchman has found minutes incredibly hard to come by.

While he has managed 18 Bundesliga appearances this season, not one of those has come as a starter and Tel has been forced to accept just 364 minutes off the bench - an average of 20 minutes per game - and has usually been deployed as a winger.

Reports in Germany tipped Manchester United to move for Tel this summer if his struggle for minutes continued, and now the striker's agent has added fuel to the fire by refusing to rule out an exit from Bayern.

"Mathys loves the club, the fans, he wants to be important and win all the trophies here with a strong team," Tel's agent told BILD. "Sometimes you just need to feel like you’re on the same path. We’ll see very soon, but I’m confident.

"But if not, we have to consider all options because Mathys knows that he is valuable and will be a top player."

Despite his limited role, Tel has struck three times in the Bundesliga this season and six across all competitions, chipping in with a further four assists as he tries to convince Thomas Tuchel to hand him more minutes.

Tuchel was recently asked about Tel's future in the team and insisted the youngster was simply not performing well enough.

"He was an extremely important factor [earlier in the season], he lost his momentum a bit," Tuchel said. "He is no longer as aggressive in the box and he no longer has the absolute urge to score at the moment.

"Maybe it has to do with self-confidence, it might also have to do with expecting a little too much from yourself. Things are getting better again, he’s scoring more in training again. This is all completely normal for a young player."
