"No team can deal with so many injuries," Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag pointed out ahead of Everton's visit on Saturday afternoon.

United, like so many teams, have been hard done by in terms of key absences this season and their current injury list is certainly one of the most extensive.

2023/24 has been a campaign of indifference for the Red Devils, although an impressive young core which is beginning to sprout as well as INEOS' takeover means there's reason for optimism among United supporters.

Ten Hag must harbour hope of helping the club qualify for the Champions League next season, and Saturday's game agsinst the Toffees is one they simply must win if they're to usurp Aston Villa and Tottenham.

Here are all the players the Dutch boss will be without this weekend.

Ten Hag confirmed in his pre-match press conference that he expects Harry Maguire and Aaron Wan-Bissaka to be back for United's upcoming FA Cup quarter-final against Liverpool on 17 March.

Thus, the pair will be absent this weekend.

Luke Shaw remains out of action alongside Lisandro Martinez and Tyrell Malacia. The latter hasn't featured all season after undergoing knee surgery, while Shaw and Martinez and set to return before the season draws to a close.

Mason Mount has endured a frustrating debut season since joining the club from Chelsea last summer.

However, Ten Hag hopes the Englishman will make his long-awaited return from a calf injury after the March international break.

Marcus Rashford, whose Manchester Derby peaked very early on, is fit for Saturday's game after picking up a knock against Manchester City.

The Red Devils are still without Danish striker Rasmus Hojlund, though. Ten Hag expects the former Atalanta star to return next weekend against Liverpool having missed United's previous three games.

Anthony Martial, who hasn't played a single minute in 2024, is continuing to nurse a groin injury, and Ten Hag confirmed in his pre-match press conference that Omari Forson has picked up an issue that will rule him out of contention,
