Man Utd fans protest in march to Old Trafford before Liverpool clash
Manchester United fans protested against the club's ownership before their Premier League clash with Liverpool on Monday night.
Supporters have grown frustrated with the Glazer family's ownership of the club and fan group The 1958 organised a march from Tollgate to the Trinity statue outside Old Trafford.
The group has declared the protest as against "an ownership that is systematically starving and killing the greatest football institution in world football, for greed."
The Glazers have consistently taken money out of the club since their takeover in 2005 - is it believed United are cumulatively £1.1bn worse off because of their ownership.
The Manchester United Supporters' Trust (MUST) posted a message to United fans ahead of the protest, calling for the "right change" while adding: "Any prospective new owner or investor has to be committed to the culture, ethos and best traditions of the club."

A healthy turnout was seen in several videos posted on social media for a 19:00 BST start, with a large police presence seen outside the Tollgate and Old Trafford. There were also lots of fans in the green and gold colours of Newton Heath, which hae long been associated with anti-Glazer protests.
During the march, a number of United fans held a banner stating "United for Sale" etched with Sir Jim Ratcliffe's face across it. Ratcliffe has been linked with a takeover.
Michael Knighton, who has recently revealed his desire to buy the club again, was seen outside the stadium alongside a banner which read "Love United Hate Glazers".
