After the emotional high of their come-from-behind victory over PSG in the Champions League, Real Madrid resume La Liga duties with a trip to Mallorca.

Karim Benzema struck a 17-minute second half hat-trick to seal Los Blancos' place in the last eight of the Champions League in midweek, with Carlo Ancelotti's men also sitting pretty at the top of La Liga.

Eight points separate Real and closest challengers Sevilla heading into this weekend's action and they will be keen not to let their guard down during the title run-in.

Mallorca team news

Mallorca are set to be without Manolo Reina after his stoppage time red card in the 4-3 defeat to Celta Vigo last time out.

Real Madrid team news

Carlo Ancelotti has a full squad to choose from with both Gareth Bale and Eden Hazard back to full fitness.

The Italian is likely to welcome both Casemiro and Ferland Mendy back into the fold after they were forced to miss the midweek Champions League comeback over PSG through suspension.

Mallorca vs Real Madrid head-to-head record

Los Blancos ran riot against Mallorca in the reverse fixture between these sides in La Liga back in August, as Marco Asensio netted a hat-trick in an emphatic 6-1 win at the Bernabeu.

However, Real were defeated on their last trip to Mallorca in October 2019, winning just twice in their previous four visits to face Los Piratas over the last decade.

Mallorca vs Real Madrid score prediction

Real Madrid's experience of the Champions League should ensure there's no emotional hangover when La Liga resumes for Ancelotti's men on Monday evening.

Los Blancos have opened up an eight-point lead at the top of the table after Sevilla's stuttering form, and it will be interesting to see whether Ancelotti deems the environment fitting enough to ring the changes.

Real would certainly benefit from rotation after a gruelling campaign, with Los Blancos likely to prevail with change to spare against Mallorca.

Prediction: Mallorca 0-2 Real Madrid
