Though we’re only three games into the season, it’s never too early to see which goalkeepers have stood head and toes above the rest in MLS.

To be successful in an attack-heavy league like MLS, having a solid keeper between the posts is vital. These ten goalkeepers have shown the ability to be that steady presence that every MLS team needs in order to be victorious.

Here's 90minUS's most in-form goalkeepers at the start of the 2023 MLS campaign.

10. Jonathan Bond

Though the LA Galaxy started the season off on the wrong foot, Jonathan Bonds' performance against Sporting KC gained a valuable point for Greg Vanney's men.

It wasn't the best we’ve seen the Galaxy play, but considering their upcoming sanctions in the summer limiting their transfer activity and injury to their talisman Chicharito, they need all the points they can get at the start of the season.

9. Eloy Room

Looking to get back to the upper echelon of the Eastern Conference, the Columbus Crew's good four-point start to the season wouldn't have been possible without Room'swouldn't shot-stopping ability.

Possessing an attacking front line that includes Lucas Zelarayan and 'Cucho’ Hernandez, Room gives the Crew a solid goalkeeper they need in the back.

8. John Pulskamp

Sporting KC have yet to win a game this season, but they haven't conceded too many goals either. John Pulskamp is largely to thank for that.

Injuries have severely impacted Peter Vermes' roster, but at least Pulskamp has remained a constant throughout the recent seasons.

7. Andre Blake

After suffering an injury during the Union's last match against the Chicago Fire, Andre Blake could be out for the foreseeable future. However, that doesn't mean he's still not one of the best shot stoppers in the league.

There's a reason he's won the Goalkeeper of the Year twice now. He's an integral part of the Union's success and reaching the MLS Cup.

6. Djordje Petrovic

Djordje Petrovic is a name to watch out for.

Not only has he attracted interest from teams in Europe, but he was also in contention for MLS Goalkeeper of the Year in 2022. Expect him to have another great year this season.

5. Roman Celentano

FC Cincinnati has started the season off well. Roman Celentano’s stability at the back is a large reason why they’re currently sitting third in the Eastern Conference.

With Lucho Acosta, Brandon Vazquez, and the steady presence of  Roman Celentano in goal, Cincinnati will look to continue the success that they enjoyed in 2022.

4. Stefan Frei

Another year, another season for Stefan Frei to show why he’s routinely one of the best goalkeepers in MLS.

He’s only conceded one goal through three games, and his form looks better than ever. If he continues this form, Seattle is well on their way to making the playoffs after missing them last season.

3. Drake Callender

There’s a reason why Inter Miami re-signed Drake Callender to a long-term deal. Since he arrived at the club, the 25-year-old has grown each year.

With two clean sheets on the year and Miami looking to push for a top-four spot in the East, Callender is the main man for IMCF from now on.

Though they lost their recent game against NYCFC, Calendar made seven saves in the match to keep it from being a blowout.

2. Pedro Gallese

Pedro Gallese is still showing why he’s considered one of the top keepers in the league. His four-save performance vs. DC United saved Orlando a point at home.

As the Lions look to win more silverware this season, Gallese will prove to be an integral part in goal.

Joe Willis is the one goalkeeper on this list that hasn’t conceded a single goal. His 100% save percentage is the best in the league.

Nashville has always had a staunch defense. With Willis in goal, they will be a difficult team to score on.
