Liverpool's return to Premier League action sees Jurgen Klopp's side entertain Everton in Saturday's early kick-off.

The Merseyside derby rarely disappoints and it's a fixture the Reds have a strong recent record in, though the international break has depleted their options with Andy Robertson suffering a significant shoulder injury.

There's also a Curtis Jones suspension and knocks to other squad members for Klopp to factor in when deciding on his starting XI for the derby on Saturday.

GK: Alisson - Has made 31 league saves so far this season but returned only one clean sheet.

RB: Trent Alexander-Arnold - Featured in the much-changed England lineup against Australia but didn't receive any minutes in the Italy win. Should be fresh and ready to add to his solitary assist so far this campaign.

CB: Virgil van Dijk - Netted a crucial last-minute winner for the Netherlands from the penalty spot against Greece but has a few others ahead of him in the spot-kick pecking order at Anfield.

CB: Joel Matip - Averages 2.35 points a game playing with Van Dijk, having partnered the Dutchman 79 times previously in the Premier League.

LB: Kostas Tsimikas - Robertson's injury opens up a slot for Greece international Tsimikas to fill. Has 12 assists for Liverpool but yet to bag his maiden strike for the club.

CM: Ryan Gravenberch - Jones' suspension means a spot remains open in midfield and Gravenberch, seemingly unfancied by the Netherlands after rejecting a call-up to acclimatise at Liverpool, could benefit with a start.

CM: Alexis Mac Allister - Looked to suffer with fatigue after the last international break and Klopp will hope the Argentina international can show more bite than he managed in a difficult display at Wolves in September.

CM: Dominik Szoboszlai - Enjoyed a positive break with Hungary, helping them beat Serbia before scoring and assisting as they came from behind to draw with Lithuania.

RW: Mohamed Salah - Everton surprisingly aren't among Salah's favoured opponents when it comes to goal returns, only scoring five times in nine clashes with the Toffees.

ST: Diogo Jota - Jota could get the nod over Darwin Nunez, who jetted to South America for Uruguay and could still be feeling the effects of a long journey.

LW: Luis Diaz - Seems completely luckless in front of goal this season, missing a penalty in Ecuador's goalless draw with Colombia.
