Liverpool face a second away game at a 'big six' Premier League club in four days as they travel to Chelsea on Tuesday.

Though Saturday's conquerors Manchester City are occupying a spot in the Premier League's top two, the Reds and the Blues are looking like pretenders in the race for European places.

Jurgen Klopp's men head to west London sitting eighth in the table and perhaps a little thankful their hosts are in the more embarrassing position of 11th.

Here's how Liverpool could set out at Stamford Bridge.

Liverpool predicted lineup vs Chelsea - Premier League

GK: Alisson - Boy has it been a long and busy season for Alisson between the sticks.

RB: Trent Alexander-Arnold - Though Mykhailo Mudryk is wildly out of form, you'd imagine Alexander-Arnold will be hoping not to see the rapid Ukrainian sprinting down his flank on Tuesday.

CB: Ibrahima Konate - Actually a decent prospect, but learning very little in such a reckless backline.

CB: Virgil van Dijk - Just physically not the same defender anymore and his relaxed style is costing Liverpool. That said, you can't really drop him either.

LB: Andy Robertson - Always tries his hardest and genuinely cares, which is a silver lining in this dark moment for Liverpool.

DM: Fabinho - Might have a rare bit of joy in the midfield battle until N'Golo Kante inevitably comes on after 60 minutes.

CM: Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain - Whether it's Oxlade-Chamberlain coming in or Curtis Jones, Klopp needs to drop Harvey Elliott.

CM: Jordan Henderson - Chelsea have plenty of athletic midfield options, which is bad news for Henderson after he was given the runaround by Kevin De Bruyne.

RW: Mohamed Salah - Afforded a rest late on in the Man City mauling, presumably to keep him fresh for a fairer fight.

CF: Cody Gakpo - Still trying to figure out how to physically impose himself in Premier League games, but looked more useful prior to the international break. His ability to interchange with the left forward could come in handy.

LW: Darwin Nunez - Diogo Jota got a cracking assist on Saturday but Liverpool really do need a bit of chaos up front.
