Liverpool have just one final push with Jurgen Klopp as their manager.

The Reds have already lifted the Carabao Cup during what was projected to be a trophy-laden finale at Anfield for the German, but a late-season collapse means there will be no fairytale for the departing German.

A two-legged defeat to Atalanta saw Liverpool bow out of the Europa League, and a Premier League slump has seen them fall too far behind in the title race.

But hey, at least they've gotten healthier on the injury front as of late! For every cloud, eh?

Here is the latest news on Liverpool's injuries.

Diogo Jota

  • Issue: Knock
  • Potential return: vs Aston Villa (A) - 13/05/24

2023/24 has been a season of frustation for Jota, who's missed a big chunk of 2024 through injury.

Jota had just returned from two months on the sidelines when he picked up another setback during Liverpool's 3-1 win over Fulham on 21 April.

The forward is believed to be merely dealing with a knock, but he's been out of action since. Klopp confirmed Jota hadn't returned to training before the 4-2 win over Tottenham, but there's hope the Portuguese international will return to the matchday squad for the Reds' trip to Villa Park on 13 May.

Conor Bradley

  • Issue: Ankle injury
  • Potential return: vs Aston Villa (A) - 13/05/24

Bradley provided stellar mitigation for Trent Alexander-Arnold during his lengthy injury absence, but the Northern Irishman himself succumbed to an ankle injury during Liverpool's defeat to Palace.

The right-back avoided a major issue with scans revealing no notable damage, and Bradley will be back in action before the season concludes. However, with Trent back and purring, he's going to find minutes hard to come by.

Thiago

  • Issue: Muscle
  • Potential return: Unknown

The master of the injury setback has been at it again this season.

Thiago made his long-awaited return to action off the bench against Arsenal at the start of February, only enjoying a small cameo. However, it was revealed in the wake of Liverpool's defeat that their sultry Spanish midfielder had suffered yet another injury blow.

Thiago's latest issue is muscular and it's not yet clear when he'll return to action.

Joel Matip

  • Issue: Knee
  • Potential return: Unknown

Joel Matip injured himself during Liverpool's 4-3 victory over Fulham in early December and is set to miss the rest of the season after tearing his ACL. Fortunately for the Reds, Jarell Quansah has emerged as a serious centre-back option, but it remains devastating news for Matip.

With his contract expiring at the end of the season, the 32-year-old may have played his final game in a Liverpool shirt.

Ben Doak

  • Issue: Knee
  • Potential return: Unknown

Having featured regularly for Liverpool in the Europa League group stage, Doak was handed a huge injury setback in December. The young and energetic Scot tore the lateral meniscus in his knee and has since undergone surgery to correct the issue.

Doak is expected to be out for several months, with no official timeframe on his return.
