Ryan Gravenberch is set to undergo a medical with Liverpool after the Reds agreed a transfer fee with Bayern Munich, 90min understands.

The Netherlands international has been on Liverpool's radar all summer and 90min first reported on their interest back in April. But it was not until Jurgen Klopp's team failed in their efforts to sign Romeo Lavia and Moises Caicedo that they stepped up interest in Gravenberch once again.

With five frst-team midfielders gone since last season - including Jordan Henderson and Fabinho, Gravenberch stands to be the fourth new midfield arrival following the existing acquisitions of Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai and Wataru Endo.

Liverpool have agreed terms on a deal worth £34m (€40m), which is more than Bayern were initially looking for. But with the transfer window about to close, the Reds have seen urgency take over.

Gravenberch has already agreed personal terms on a five-year contract at Anfield and has now travelled to England to undergo his medical ahead of completing the transfer.

The switch sees 21-year-old Gravenberch move clubs for the second time in just over 12 months having only signed for Bayern last summer when he joined from Ajax.
