Kylian Mbappe responds to Luis Enrique criticism after Reims hat-trick

Kylian Mbappe has responded to Luis Enrique's recent criticism of his performances, insisting that the manager will have "no problem" with him moving forward.
The new Paris Saint-Germain manager rather surprisingly called into question Mbappe's performance levels after the forward bagged a stunning match-winning hat-trick against Reims.
In his post-match press conference, Enrique questioned Mbappe's teamwork, saying: "I'm not really happy with Kylian Mbappe today. I have nothing to say about the goals. But he can help the team more, in a different way. I'll talk to him about it first. Kylian is one of the best in the world. But we need more. We want him to do more."
Mbappe has now responded to Enrique's comments, telling the press while on international duty that he was happy to hear his manager had such high standards.
"You’d have to ask him about the timing [of his criticism]," Mbappe said. "I took it well, he’s a great coach and has a lot to teach me. From day one, I told him he’d have no problem with me.
"I’ve always worked well with the coaches I’ve had, like Didier Deschamps, Mauricio Pochettino, Thomas Tuchel and so on. These are coaches who have spoken to me 'badly', so to speak – but it didn’t stop me form playing well and having a good relationship with them.
"I’m a player who’s very demanding of himself, so when I find that demand from my coaches then I’m very happy. I don’t need my manager to tell me I’m the best player in the world every day."
As well as being asked about Enrique's comments, Mbappe was grilled about his PSG future by the press. The French superstar is widely expected to leave PSG during the summer and head to La Liga giants Real Madrid.
"It’s not something that concerns the French national team. You should come to Campus PSG and I’ll respond, the focus is on country above anything else for the next week," replied Mbappe to this line of questioning.
"It’s not something that weighs on me. I don’t think about it on the pitch, when I’m playing I don’t think about things outside the game."
