Liverpool youngster Kaide Gordon has signed his first professional contract at the club after turning 17 earlier this week.

Gordon joined the Reds in February from hometown club Derby County, with the Rams receiving a compensation fee that could eventually rise to £3m.

The winger made his senior debut in a 4-0 win for Derby at Birmingham last December, and made his first Liverpool appearance in their Carabao Cup win against Norwich in September.

Liverpool confirmed on Friday that Gordon has now put pen to paper on a pro deal at Anfield.

"Dream come true to sign my first professional contact at a great club, hard work continues," Gordon said in a post on Instagram.

Gordon impressed playing for Liverpool's under-18s following his arrival from Derby. He then scored on his under-23 debut in May and was subsequently promoted to the first team.

The winger was involved in Liverpool's pre-season friendlies, notably their win over Spanish side Osasuna at Anfield.

Gordon became the fifth-youngest player to ever play for Liverpool when he started their Carabao Cup third round match at Norwich last month. He has also been capped at under-18 level with England having previously featured for the under-16s.
