Juventus host Lazio on Sunday night in a meeting between two Serie A sides which start the final weekend before the World Cup inside the top four.

Interwoven with their Champions League group stage failings, Juventus have accrued five consecutive Serie A wins and clean sheets, returning to the top four for the first time since August.

After an ignominious defeat to Salernitana - the club formerly owned by Lazio's current president Claudio Lotito - was compounded by a Europa League exit, Maurizio Sarri steered the Eagles to a pair of league victories, including the all-important Rome derby last weekend.

Here's everything you need to know about a particularly personal grudge match for Sarri at the home of his former employers.

Massimiliano Allegri admitted that Alex Sandro "took one for the team" when he was sent off for halting a late Hellas Verona attack in midweek. The Brazilian will be suspended, joining fellow fullback Mattia De Sciglio on the sidelines.

The trio of long-term absentees, Paul Pogba (knee), Kaio Jorge (tendon) and Marley Ake (ankle) remain in the treatment room but Dusan Vlahovic has returned to training. The Serbia international has been called up for the World Cup but may not feature for his club before appearing in Qatar.

Juventus vs Lazio score prediction

Juve may be enjoying their longest winning run in Serie A since the COVID summer of 2020 but the man that was in charge of the Bianconeri back then has forged a side for the big occasions in Rome.

Sarri's Lazio have already beaten Inter, Atalanta and Roma this season. Runaway leaders Napoli are the only top-half side to defeat Lazio this term - the Eagles sit second going into the weekend.

In a meeting between two sides that have eked out results in recent weeks, the pair may have to settle for a share of the spoils this Sunday.

Prediction: Juventus 1-1 Lazio
