Juventus can continue their unbeaten start to 2022 with a Serie A trip to Sampdoria on Saturday evening.

Alongside Sevilla, Barcelona, Liverpool and Newcastle, Juve are one of just five teams among Europe's top divisions yet to taste a top-flight defeat this calendar year (W5 D4).

Here's the XI Massimiliano Allegri may deploy to extend their unbeaten streak.

1. Goalkeeper & defenders

Wojciech Szczesny (GK) - One more shutout would earn Szczesny the highest tally of Serie A clean sheets he has ever recorded at Juventus (currently on 11).

Danilo (RB) - The Brazil international has played every position across the backline in his career appearances against Samp, winning all five.

Matthijs de Ligt (CB) - Juve's only outfield player to rack up more than 2,000 Serie A minutes this term has been as valuable for his durability as much as anything else.

Daniele Rugani (CB) - Juve's forgotten man has played more league minutes this calendar year than Giorgio Chiellini and Leonardo Bonucci put together.

Luca Pellegrini (LB) - The returning loanee was linked with a temporary stay at Sampdoria this January but has had his value swell in the absence of Juve's injury-riddled defence.

2. Midfielders

Juan Cuadrado (RM) - The Colombian creator may well shake off a non-COVID illness to feature at the Ferraris.

Manuel Locatelli (CM) - Suspension is all that has prevented the boyhood Juventino from appearing in every Serie A match.

Arthur (CM) - The trio of Arthur, Locatelli and Adrien Rabiot has triumphed in all three of their appearances together, starting with a 4-1 win over Sampdoria in January.

Adrien Rabiot (LM) - For one fleeting fortnight, Rabiot threatened to make a telling contribution as Allegri plumped for a narrow 4-3-3 with the Frenchman in midfield. But back in a 4-4-2, Rabiot has returned to his awfully anonymous posting on the flank.

3. Forwards

Alvaro Morata (ST) - Fresh from his first Serie A goal of the calendar year, Morata hasn't scored in consecutive league games since September.

Dusan Vlahovic (ST) - Juve's new number seven has scored more goals against Sampdoria than any other opponent in his Serie A career (five in five).
