Julian Nagelsmann is prepared to re-open negotiations with Tottenham Hotspur over their vacant manager position, 90min understands.

After his surprise departure from Bayern Munich in March, Nagelsmann was quickly earmarked as a potential candidate for the Tottenham role, but the German later emerged as the favourite to take over at London rivals Chelsea instead.

However, Nagelsmann withdrew from negotiations with Chelsea last week. 90min understands the former Bayern boss was left frustrated by the length of the Blues' managerial search and their failure to offer him the position sooner, leaving him unconvinced by the process at Stamford Bridge.

Now, sources have confirmed to 90min that Nagelsmann's camp have reached out to Tottenham to express an interest in holding talks with chairman Daniel Levy, with the 35-year-old German keen to know the club's future plans.

Tottenham are still receptive to Nagelsmann's interest, despite holding talks with other candidates, and are understood to be considering all of their options following a difficult week which has further increased the pressure on Levy to get the next appointment right.
