Representatives from the Saudi Pro League have made contact with Manchester United and Jadon Sancho over a possible deal, sources have confirmed to 90min.

Sancho's future at United has been called to question after he reacted angrily to Erik ten Hag revealing he was left out of the squad to face Arsenal on Sunday due to poor performances in training.

The 23-year-old revealed on social media that he felt he had been made a 'scapegoat' and United were left far from happy with the outburst.

90min revealed on Monday that United had fielded a number of enquiries about Sancho's situation, but the expectation within the club was that he would stay put for the time being.

However, sources have now confirmed that intermediaries have stepped up talks about a possible deal that would send Sancho to the Saudi Pro League. Their transfer window closes on Thursday evening at 10pm (BST).

90min understands that United are aware of these talks and are open to a possible deal - either a loan or even a permanent transfer.

It is believed that Steven Gerrard's Al Ettifaq are the most likely destination, although there are a number of rival clubs keen should Sancho approve of a move to Saudi Arabia.

Sancho is understood to be considering his options and is still far from happy about how the situation at United has developed in recent days, so a move away from Old Trafford is under consideration.
