Reigning champions Inter host mid-table Hellas Verona in Serie A on Saturday evening.

The Nerazzurri reinvigorated their title tilt with a hard-fought 1-0 victory against Juventus last weekend, effectively turning the season's run-in into a three-way battle for the Scudetto alongside Milan and Napoli.

Inter play a day earlier than their rivals but Verona bear little resemblance to a walkover having taken points off Napoli, Juventus, Roma and Lazio this term.

Here's all you need to know about Saturday's meeting between the pair.

Inter team news

Inter managed to grind their way through Sunday's Derby d'Italia without sustaining any new injuries. Stefan de Vrij was left on the bench for that fixture after coming back from a calf injury but wasn't missed given Danilo D'Ambrosio's impressive display in his absence.

Verona team news

Verona's second-top scorer Antonin Barak - with ten goals in Serie A - is a doubt after missing the club's Monday night victory over Genoa with complaints of physical discomfort.

The lesser-used 18-year-old defender Diego Coppola is unlikely to feature for the remainder of the season with a sprained ankle. Both rotation goalkeepers Alessandro Berardi (hand) and Ivor Pandur (shoulder) may also struggle to warm the bench this weekend.

Inter vs Verona head-to-head record

Inter's record against Verona in the modern era - and beyond - is laughably one-sided. The Nerazzurri are in the midst of a 21-game unbeaten run against the Gialloblu, last tasting defeat in 1992 when only two points were awarded for a victory.

Since their first top-flight trip to the famous San Siro stadium in 1957 - a 1-0 defeat to an Inter side let by Englishman Jesse Carver - Verona have never won a Serie A match away to Inter in 30 attempts (D11 L19).

Inter vs Verona score prediction

Inter could leapfrog Napoli with victory on Saturday but Verona play a breathless brand of full-throttle football that has helped them plunder 56 league goals this season - a figure only two teams in the division can better.

The Nerazzurri - with 63 - make up half of that even more prolific pair and may well bolster that tally this weekend.

In a clash between the division's best side from losing positions and Serie A's worst front-runners, Inter may claim the spoils after falling behind to a Verona opener - just as they did in the August reverse fixture.

Prediction: Inter 2-1 Verona
