Despite the debacle at Tottenham, Jurgen Klopp will undoubtedly be content with his side's start to the 2023/24 season.

Their demise in 2022/23 following a near quadruple the season prior meant they finished fifth in the Premier League, but the early signs this term suggest Klopp's team are back on an upward trajectory.

The German has another period to assess and evaluate thanks to the second international break of the season with 14 of his players earning senior call-ups. Harvey Elliott and Jarell Quansah have also been included in the England Under-21 squad, while Ben Doak will feature for Scotland Under-21s.

Here's how you can catch Liverpool's stars in international action over the October break.

There's just a single Liverpool representative in the England squad with Trent Alexander-Arnold getting the nod from Gareth Southgate. Trent has long had a complicated relationship with the national team, with his profile being at odds with his cautious boss, but he should get a start in their upcoming friendly against Australia.

The Reds have several players with a wealth of international experience, even after Jordan Henderson and Fabinho's departures. Five current players have earned over 50 international caps and they'll be in action over the next week. Virgil van Dijk and Andy Robertson both have crucial Euro 2024 qualifiers, Alisson's Brazil have two 2026 World Cup qualifiers, while Mohamed Salah and Wataru Endo just have friendlies to contend with.

Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez should both feature for Colombia and Uruguay respectively in their upcoming qualifiers, although their fixtures won't be aired live in the UK.

Dominik Szoboszlai will lead Hungary out in their two upcoming fixtures as they currently sit atop their qualifying group. Kostas Tsimikas' Greece, meanwhile, have a chance of qualifying for next summer's major tournament but they must earn points in their October games against Ireland and the Netherlands.

Ibrahima Konate is poised to earn game time for France with three of Didier Deschamps' preferred centre-back options all withdrawing from his squad. Diogo Jota will also be looking to add to his 33 Portugal caps as his country looks to book their place at Euro 2024 this month.
