One of only two teams with a perfect record in Euro 2024 qualifying, Portugal are in action twice more over the November international break.

They have already booked their ticket to next summer's tournament in Germany, winning all eight of their matches in Group J. Portugal have netted 32 goals, an average of four per match, and have let in just two under Roberto Martinez.

Cristiano Ronaldo has been in fine form for his country during qualification, scoring nine in a straightforward group. Those goals have taken his tally to 127 in 203 international matches, a total he will be aiming to bolster in upcoming matches with Liechtenstein and Iceland.

Here is how you can watch Ronaldo and Portugal over the international break.

Liechtenstein vs Portugal

  • Location: Vaduz, Liechtenstein
  • Stadium: Rheinpark Stadion
  • Date: 16 November 2023
  • Kick-off Time: 19:45 GMT / 14:45 ET / 11:45 PT
  • Referee: Mohammed Al-Hakim (SWE)
  • VAR: Jonas Hansen (DEN)

Portugal start the November international break with a trip to Vaduz to face Europe's second-worst team according to FIFA rankings. Liechtenstein are, unsurprisingly, without a win in qualification so far. That won't change against Portugal.

Ronaldo and Co have been in startling form in 2023 and will fancy their chances of racking up some goals on Thursday evening. Ronaldo grabbed two against Liechtenstein in Portugal's Group J opener, a game the 2016 European champions won 4-0.

Out of eight past meetings, Portugal have won seven - only somehow managing a 2-2 draw back in qualifying for the 2006 World Cup. In these matches, they have bagged 39 goals against the European minnows, conceding just three.

It's likely that Iceland's incredibly slim hopes of qualifying for Euro 2024 will be dashed by the time they meet Portugal on Sunday, making this another dead rubber for Martinez's side.

Portugal squeezed past Iceland in the reverse fixture back in June, with Ronaldo scoring an 89th-minute winner in Reykjavik. It was the fourth meeting between the two teams, three of which had been victories for Portugal.

The only time Iceland have managed to avoid defeat against Portugal came during Euro 2016, a 1-1 draw in the group stage. Then under the management of Fernando Santos, Portugal would go on to lift the trophy in France.
