Things are looking a little brighter for Mauricio Pochettino and Chelsea after two Premier League wins against Fulham and Burnley lifted spirits at Stamford Bridge before the October international break.

The Blues are yet to break into the top half of the English top flight in 2023/24 but those victories have alleviated the pressure on their new manager before a tough-looking run of fixtures that includes games against Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester City.

Chelsea have had injury after injury to deal with so far this season and the likes of Reece James, Christopher Nkunku and Wesley Fofana won't feature for their national teams during the break from club action.

Here's how you can follow the select group of Blues players in action for their international teams in October.

Such is the young make-up of Pochettino's squad that no player called up for fixtures in October has more caps than Moises Caicedo's 34 for Ecuador. The £115m midfielder has World Cup qualifiers against Bolivia and Colombia on the horizon. Thiago Silva and Raheem Sterling, owners of 113 Brazil and 82 England caps respectively, were both left in west London by their national team managers.

Right-back James and left-back Ben Chilwell are both recovering from injuries, leaving Levi Colwill and Conor Gallagher as the sole Stamford Bridge representatives in Gareth Southgate's squad for clashes with Australia and Italy.

Malo Gusto and Ian Maatsen are included in the injury-stricken squads of France and the Netherlands and will hope for the opportunity to share some minutes on the pitch during Friday night's clash between the two sides in Euro 2024 qualifying.

The recent performances of Armando Broja have earned the striker a recall to the Albania set-up, while Djordje Petrovic will be hoping for another chance to further establish himself as Serbia's primary goalkeeper.

Mykhailo Mudryk is still searching for his first goal for Ukraine and couldn't ask for much better opposition to break that duck than North Macedonia and Malta.

Enzo Fernandez has World Cup qualifiers with global champions Argentina against Paraguay and Peru to look forward to, while Nicolas Jackson has already featured in a defeat for Senegal against Algeria. The striker could net his first international goal in their next clash against Cameroon.
