We were treated to another sequence in the supposed feud between the Liverpool boss and Premier League official as Klopp's Reds overcame Tottenham 4-3 in an immediate Premier League classic on Sunday.
Liverpool had relinquished an early 3-0 advantage, but Lucas Moura ensured the hosts snatched all three points when he set up a battered and bruised Diogo Jota for the game's dramatic winner in stoppage time.
Jota's winner sparked scenes of delirium in the home dugout, with the emotional Klopp celebrating in the face of fourth official John Brooks all while pulling a hammy. His celebration warranted a discussion with referee Tierney and a booking, with this sequence igniting an angry post-match reaction which has got the German into a fair bit of trouble.
Why has Jurgen Klopp been charged by the FA?
Tierney's decision to award a foul on Ben Davies which led to Richarlison's equaliser riled up Klopp, and his frustrations manifested towards fourth official Brooks after Jota's winner.
His reaction garnered a booking from Tierney, but Klopp wasn't particularly pleased with the official: "We have our history with [Paul] Tierney, I really don't know what this man has against us, he has said there are no problems but that cannot be true.
"My celebration towards the fourth official, I didn't say any bad words or nothing unnecessary, which is fair. I got my punishment by pulling my hamstring. But what he said to me when he gave me the yellow card is not okay."
Klopp admitted on Tuesday he regrets the incident and added that he didn't want to make any headlines in the wake of such a brilliant contest. Nevertheless, the Liverpool manager has been charged by the FA for bringing the game into disrepute and questioning the integrity of referee Tierney.

What has the FA said about Jurgen Klopp's charge?
"Liverpool FC's Jurgen Klopp has been charged following their Premier League fixture against Tottenham Hotspur FC on Sunday 30 April," wrote the FA in a statement.
"It is alleged that the manager's comments regarding the match official during post-match media interviews constitute improper conduct in that they imply bias, and/or question the integrity of the referee, and/or are personal/offensive, and/or bring the game into disrepute. Jurgen Klopp has until Friday 5 May to provide a response."
Has Jurgen Klopp been charged by the FA before?
Klopp was charged by the FA after he was sent off for questioning the officials in Liverpool's 1-0 victory over Manchester City in October 2022.
The German was initially handed a £30,000 fine for his conduct before the FA won an appeal which saw him earn a one-game touchline ban in addition.
Klopp also received a warning from the FA, which means he could face a stricter punishment for his latest charge.
How many games could Jurgen Klopp be banned for?
Klopp's patchy disciplinary record is likely to influence the severity of his punishment for questioning Tierney's integrity, and some have speculated that he could receive a touchline ban for Liverpool's remaining Premier League fixtures this season.
However, Klopp still has until Friday to appeal the decision, which means he'll be in the home dugout as Fulham visit Anfield on Wednesday night.
While he may not receive a four-game ban, Klopp could miss multiple games as a result of his previous conduct.
