With Gonzalo Higuain packing up and moving to the MLS to join new franchise Inter Miami, essentially him calling time on what was a wonderful career. Coming back to England to play five-a-side would've been a more competitive move...joking obviously.

Higuain is a solid signing for David Beckham's new franchise and - along with Blaise Matuidi in midfield - gives them some much needed top level experience and elite level quality, that should help them in their first full season.

It's also the perfect time for us to look back at the Argentine during his spell with Juventus and reminisce about just how good he was on his day. Which, spoiler, was VERY VERY VERY GOOD.

It's easy to forget just how lethal Higuain was in front of goal at his peak. His goal scoring exploits were never truly appreciated at Real Madrid which led him to Napoli, where he found his feet as one of Europe's top strikers. His stint in Naples earned him a €90m move to the Old Lady in 2016.

Here are his best moments at I Bianconeri...

1. Most Expensive South American Player (2016)

Higuain's move from Napoli to Juventus may have seen us lose that incredible celebration he received every time he scored in Naples - you know, the guy screaming his name over a megaphone - but it did make him the most expensive South American footballer ever at the time.

His €90m (roughly £75m) transfer fee established him as Europe's top striker at the time and cemented his legacy in the game, even if it was shattered by Neymar's world record move to PSG not long after.

2. Debut Winner vs. Fiorentina (2016)

How do you live up to such a monumental price tag? Easy, score the winner on your debut.

Higuain makes difficult goals look easy. Really easy. It's what makes him so good at his job; he knows where to position himself and when to pounce onto the ball to strike home and his debut goal for Juventus against Fiorentina was no different.

3. Volley vs Sassuolo (2016)

Higuain grabbed a brace against Sassuolo and secured the points for his new club with a spectacular finish.

Finding himself unmarked in the box, the Argentine found himself a position near the penalty spot, anticipated the cross and rifled it home beyond the keeper's reach. Beautiful.

4. Winning Goal vs Napoli (2016)

Napoli's biggest nightmare became a reality not long after they sold their star man when he popped up to bag the winner for his new club against them.

With the game stuck at 0-0, Higuain pounced onto a loose ball and smashed it low and hard into the far corner.

5. Winning Goal vs Roma (2016)

Another example of just how well the Argentine understands the game and the role of the striker, as he came up with the goods once again to fire Juventus to another huge win in the 2016/17 season.

Higuain came short for the ball and put his strength, dribbling and striking range on display to smash the ball home against Roma for the win. Another one on his 'weaker' left foot, too, which is absurd.

6. Champions League Semi Final Heroics (2017)

Many argue that Higuain doesn't do it enough in the big moments, but he did exactly that here.

While his side went on to get walloped 4-1 in the Champions League final by Real Madrid, they wouldn't have even made it past the semis without the Argentine's heroics in Monaco.

His brace away from home in the first leg was the key to sending Juve to the final, but the less said about that the better.

7. Title-Winning Goal Against Inter

One of the tired critiques from people who clearly don't watch football is that Higuain is a 'big game bottler'. Well...this goal proves all those idiots wrong.

With just two minutes left on the clock, with his team drawing 2-2 with their biggest rivals, and with the title slowly slipping from their grasps, Higuain stepped up. He stepped up to head home the game-winning, derby-winning, TITLE-WINNING goal. Hero.

8. Champions League Comeback (2018)

Juventus were seriously put to the test by Tottenham in the Champions League in 2018 and were reliant on their then-record signing to ensure that they made the quarter finals.

Higuain fired home a double against Tottenham in the first leg of the round of 16, but the game finished 2-2 after Juve let it slip from their fingers. Higuain came up with the goods in the return fixture however, chipping in with a goal and an assist.

9. First Juventus Hat-Trick (2018)

Higuain's first hat-trick for the Old Lady also proved to be his last for the club. Things went a bit downhill after the 2017/18 season, but there were still moments of magic such as this against Sassuolo.

His first was a patient but venomous strike, sent through the legs of the defender. His second saw him take down a long ball over the top and round the keeper, and his third was an assured dink over the keeper.

This was the Argentine at his best.
