Crystal Palace will travel across London to face Fulham on Saturday, with Scott Parker's newly-promoted side still searching for their first win of the season.

The Eagles got off to a flying start in the Premier League with wins against Southampton and Manchester United, but then tasted back-to-back defeats at the hands of Everton and Chelsea. In their most recent outing, Roy Hodgson's side drew 1-1 with rivals Brighton at Selhurst Park after Wilfried Zaha's penalty put Palace ahead.

Fulham, however, find themselves at the foot of the table and still searching for their first win of the season – although Parker's side picked up their first point of the campaign with a 1-1 draw in their recent trip to Sheffield United.

Gary Cahill has been ruled out through injury following a swollen shin suffered from Lewis Dunk's challenge last weekend, which resulted in a red card for the Brighton defender. Nathan Ferguson and Wayne Hennessey also remain sidelined, but James Tomkins could return to give Roy Hodgson a much-needed defensive boost.

Palace have also been hit by positive coronavirus tests, with latest signing Jack Butland unavailable after testing positive. Jordan Ayew has also tested positive, whilst Connor Wickham and James McCarthy remain out through injury.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who is on loan from Chelsea, is expected to start for Fulham in place of Harrison Reed in a similar side to the one Parker put out against Sheffield United. Parker will still be without Kenny Tete, Joachim Andersen and Terence Kongolo, who all joined the Cottagers this summer.

Recent Form

Crystal Palace were quick out the blocks at the start of the season, getting their campaign underway with a 1-0 win over Southampton. The Eagles then raised a few eyebrows when they went to Old Trafford and came away with all three points after convincingly beating Manchester United 3-1.

Since then, Palace have failed to win a league match, losing two and drawing one. Hodgson's side fell to defeat against Everton before being thrashed 4-0 by Chelsea. In their most recent fixture, Palace let a one-goal lead slip at home to rivals Brighton to slump to a 1-1 draw.

Fulham, meanwhile, sit bottom of the table. Scott Parker's side are still without a win. That is bad.

Prediction

Wilfried Zaha
Wilfried Zaha can be the difference for Palace | Sebastian Frej/MB Media/Getty Images

Zaha has enjoyed a good start to the season, already equalling his Premier League goal tally from the last, coronavirus-disrupted cmapaign. When the Ivorian is playing with confidence, he can cause havoc for opposition defenders.

If Palace can take an early lead, Fulham cannot afford to let their heads drop. With that being said, the south London side should have too much quality in their attack with Zaha and Michy Batshuayi to get the job done.

Prediction: Fulham 0-2 Crystal Palace
