The FPL captaincy race has been thrown wide open given the pool of premium players in form right now, including Mohamed Salah, Son Heung-min and Erling Haaland.

Salah and Haaland in particular have promising fixtures against relegation candidates Bournemouth and Luton respectively, while Son and Tottenham round off the weekend's action on Monday night when they host London rivals Chelsea.

Fantasy Football Hub's powerful AI Points Predictions tool has analysed the trio's prospects for FPL Gameweek 11. Here's how it predicts Salah, Son and Haaland to get on this weekend.

Erling Haaland

  • Fixture: Bournemouth (H); Predicted Points: 9.2

Erling Haaland leads the captaincy race ahead of a home clash with Bournemouth on Saturday. With City not in Carabao Cup action in midweek, the recent Gerd Muller Trophy winner should be well rested as he looks to build on his five goals and one assist in four leagues games at the Etihad this season.

Haaland's rest adds fuel to the strategy of awarding him the Triple Captain chip this week, especially since opponents Bournemouth are without first-choice goalkeeper Neto. The Cherries haven't kept a clean sheet on the road this season, conceding 11 goals in four games.

Son Heung-min

  • Fixture: Chelsea (H); Predicted Points: 6.9

Those managers tempted to go against Haaland for the captaincy should consider Spurs midfielder Son Heung-min who continues to lead the line. He has double-digit hauls in consecutive games since the international break, putting him second for fantasy points in that time with 24.

Son's creativity has also been on show in the last two gameweeks, making five key passes for his teammates, so there's potential for points aside from just goals. Opponents Chelsea have just one clean sheet from their last four games.

Mohamed Salah

  • Fixture: Luton (A); Predicted Points: 6.8

Salah isn't far behind Son in predicted points terms and also presents a credible captaincy option as Liverpool travel to promoted Luton who are still waiting for their first clean sheet of the season. Salah is in a rich vein of form, with four double-digit hauls in his last six games and just one blank all season.

Over the last four gameweeks, Salah ranks second among midfielders for shots in the box and first for big chances on goal with five. He has also created eight chances, showcasing his multiple routes to points, and is the penalty taker for a Liverpool side that has won four penalties this season; only Arsenal have been awarded more spot-kicks.
