An injury to assist machine Pedro Neto and a surprise omission for Arsenal's Martin Odegaard has resulted in significant FPL transfer traffic in midfield this week.

However, there are plenty of cheap options elsewhere who can provide differential hauls while the usual big-hitters like Erling Haaland and Mohamed Salah continue to deliver.

With the help of Fantasy Football Hub's powerful AI Points Predictions tool, here are the best cheap midfielders and their predicted points for FPL Gameweek 11.

Bryan Mbeumo

  • Fixture: West Ham United (H); Predicted Points: 5.7

Bryan Mbeumo is riding high after two consecutive double-digit hauls, bagging the most FPL points since the international break. It's been a welcome return to form for those managers who held him throughout four consecutive blanks and he should now be considered a great long-term hold given his various routes to points.

Mbeumo ranks third for expected goal involvements this season on 9.3, behind only Erling Haaland and Mohamed Salah. The Cameroon international has a high shot volume and creates chances for his team-mates, plus he's on penalties in Ivan Toney's absence. The home fixture this weekend should suit him, with West Ham failing to keep a clean sheet on the road this season.

Anthony Gordon

  • Fixture: Arsenal (H); Predicted Points: 4.9

Anthony Gordon has the potential to become the biggest fantasy bargain of the season and is set for consistent starts in the Newcastle attack, with a number of players out injured. Fellow left winger Harvey Barnes is out until the end of the year and with Alexander Isak injured and Callum Wilson's minutes managed, Gordon could even play as a striker.

Gordon currently has the most FPL points of all Newcastle's attackers, with three goals and four assists from ten starts this season. He's completed 90 minutes in four of his last six games too. Don't be put off by the trickier fixture this weekend if you are shopping for a midfielder in this price bracket.

Moussa Diaby

  • Fixture: Nottingham Forest (A); Predicted Points: 5.7

Aston Villa's Moussa Diaby was the surprise package of Gameweek 10, cropping up with a goal and an assist at home to Luton Town for his biggest haul of the season so far. That return will give investors confidence that he can deliver the performances to match his solid underlying numbers.

A subtle change in positioning for Leon Bailey and Matty Cash allowed the space for Diaby to shine against Luton. He's had nine shots on goal in the last four gameweeks and created seven key passes. Nottingham Forest haven't kept a clean sheet at home so far this season, conceding six goals in their last four fixtures.
