Manchester United haven't been as active in the transfer market as many fans had hoped they would be by this point in the summer window, with Donny van de Beek still the only addition so far.

Frustration has grown among the fanbase, while a fairly slow start to the 2020/21 season hasn't exactly done much to help ease peoples' concerns. But with FIFA 21 soon to be released, Red Devils fans will be able to take charge of their beloved club and yep, that also means being able to make whatever signings they wish. Woohoo!

The Man Utd player ratings for FIFA 21 Ultimate Team have now been revealed (via the Manchester Evening News), and here we run through the top 30...

30. James Garner (66)

FIFA 20 Rating: 63

Garner has seen his rating increase by three after a 2019/20 season during which he made six first team appearances for United.

The young defensive midfielder was sent out on loan to Watford for the 2020/21 campaign in order to gain regular first team minutes, and he has made a strong start. Should he continue to play an important role for the Hornets this season, Garner can expect his 66 rating to improve drastically for FIFA 22.

29. Lee Grant (70)

FIFA 20 Rating: 72

Man Utd's third choice goalkeeper last season, Grant made a grand total of....one appearance for the senior side last term - conceding twice in the defeat to Astana.

Still, he did keep a couple of clean sheets while playing for the Under-23s.

Oh, and he's fallen even further down the pecking order this term following the return of Dean Henderson.

28. Axel Tuanzebe (73)

FIFA 20 Rating: 73

Regarded very highly at Man Utd, many fans are desperate to see more of Tuanzebe - but injury troubles saw his opportunities limited in 2019/20.

As a result, it isn't really that much of a surprise to see his rating stay the same for FIFA 21, is it?

27. Timothy Fosu-Mensah (73)

FIFA 20 Rating: 73

From forgotten man to...the second-choice right-back it seems.

Fosu-Mensah was unavailable for the majority of the 2019/20 campaign, but was then named in the starting lineup for the Red Devils' trip to Crystal Palace late in the season - much to the surprise of, well, basically everyone.

But he has taken his opportunities and has since become a squad player for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. But his lack of appearances last term means his rating of 73 stays the same.

26. Marcos Rojo (75)

FIFA 20 Rating: 78

Rojo may have returned home in a 'dream' loan move last term - but it hasn't been great for his FIFA rating.

Once seen as the no-nonsense defender United needed at the back by many, the Argentine is now one of a number of players who could depart before the close of the transfer window.

25. Phil Jones (75)

FIFA 20 Rating: 79

Oh.

It's fair to say Jones has fallen out of favour under Solskjaer, but when he did play in 2019/20, he didn't exactly put in the most assured displays.

Another player who has been made available by the Red Devils, although there appear to be no takers as of this moment.

24. Andreas Pereira (75)

FIFA 20 Rating: 77

The curious case of Andreas.

A player who once promised so much during his early days with the club, Andreas has struggled to live up to his potential. The midfielder played an important role at the start of last season, but found himself left out altogether towards the end of the campaign.

He now appears to be on his way out of the club, with Lazio close to completing a loan deal for his services.

23. Diogo Dalot (76)

FIFA 20 Rating: 75

Another one who could be on his way out of the club, despite his obvious talent and potential.

Injuries have stunted his progression and the Red Devils have seemingly grown frustrated. Still only 21 though, Dalot could be a shrewd acquisition in FIFA 21 for any Career Mode players.

Also capable of playing in a number of positions, the Portuguese could be a smart addition on Ultimate Team as well.

22. Mason Greenwood (77)

Greenwood's rating has gone up by ten

FIFA 20 Rating: 67

Greenwood's rating was always going to drastically improve, it was just a case of how much by.

Well, ten is the answer.

The youngster has claimed the right-wing spot after a 2019/20 season in which he managed to come away with a simply outrageous 17 goals.

Whether it's Ultimate Team or Career Mode or any other feature in FIFA 21, Greenwood is a must-have in your team.

21. Jesse Lingard (77)

Lingard's poor form has seen his rating drop for FIFA 21

FIFA 20 Rating: 82

Lingard's sub-par displays have been well-documented and it isn't a surprise to see his rating drop to 77.

But now looking to rediscover his old form and reestablish himself as an important United squad player, Lingard will be hoping to see his rating rise once again for FIFA 22.

20. Odion Ighalo (77)

Ighalo has struggled to make much of an impact more recently

FIFA 20 Rating: 77

While the club was ridiculed for the signing of Ighalo on loan, the striker quickly proved his critics wrong.

Ighalo hasn't been able to have quite the same impact in more recent times, but he is still a valuable backup to first-choice striker Anthony Martial.

Living the dream.

19. Daniel James (77)

FIFA 20 Rating: 77

Initially starting out as a silver card and rated 72, James later saw his rating rise to 77 - which he keeps hold of for FIFA 21.

After a strong start to his Man Utd career, James' performance levels dropped as he was tasked with a much bigger role in the squad than many expected.

Still learning and developing, James has now at least been taken out of the limelight somewhat due to the emergence of Greenwood.

18. Scott McTominay (79)

McTominay has seen his rating increase

FIFA 20 Rating: 77

McTominay had become an increasingly valuable first team member in 2019/20 before suffering a knee injury.

Nonetheless, his development over the past season has seen him pick up an improved rating of 79 on Ultimate Team.

17. Eric Bailly (79)

FIFA 20 Rating: 80

A fully fit Eric Bailly could be just the perfect partner for Harry Maguire.

But the crucial part of that sentence is 'a fully fit' Bailly because...well, this is just all too infrequent. There's no denying the defender's ability, but injuries continue to haunt him.

A top player who would undoubtedly see his rating drastically improve if he manages to maintain fitness for the entire season.

16. Chris Smalling (79)

Roma are still keen to sign Smalling permanently

FIFA 20 Rating: 80

Smalling thrived during his loan spell with Roma, so much so that they are desperate to bring him back on a permanent basis. In fact, he himself is also keen to depart Old Trafford and make the move back permanently.

It's a move that would benefit all parties, but it will only happen if the Red Devils' valuation is met. Back playing regular football again in Italy, Smalling was given the chance to find his best form - but it remains to be seen if an agreement can be found.

15. Juan Mata (79)

Mata's rating has dropped into the 70s

FIFA 20 Rating: 82

The Spaniard may not be quite the same player he once was, but he still possesses that world class quality to unlock a defence with a pass that many wouldn't even be able to spot.

Mata is one of those players whose ability and intelligence simply cannot be fully comprehended in FIFA.

14. Dean Henderson (80)

FIFA 20 Rating: 75

He's back and oh yes, he is ready to compete with David de Gea.

Henderson has made no secret of his desire to return to United and fight for a starting spot, and he's been given his wish. After another outstanding season with Sheffield United, he has returned to his boyhood club with a new and improved rating on Ultimate Team.

13. Victor Lindelof (80)

FIFA 20 Rating: 81

The man chosen to partner Maguire at the back, Lindelof has come in for some criticism over the past year - hence the slight drop in rating.

Is he the centre-back United need in the long-term? No, probably not.

But whatever fans' opinions of him are, there is no denying his dedication and determination to perform to the best of his abilities.

12. Nemanja Matic (80)

FIFA 20 Rating: 81

Matic performs a somewhat unglamorous role, and one which often goes unnoticed. Indeed, his importance to this Man Utd team is often overlooked by some and he remains an under-appreciated player.

Sure, he reads the game well and keeps things ticking over, but it's his ability to hold the midfield together and provide the necessary balance which makes him so valuable.

11. Sergio Romero (80)

FIFA 20 Rating: 80

Romero has been a fine servant to the club, but he has now been linked with a move elsewhere following the return of Henderson.

Now the third-choice shot-stopper, opportunities will be even harder to come by for Romero in 2020/21.

The Argentine was always reliable whenever called upon last season, coming away with 12 clean sheets.

A very reliable option for anyone on Ultimate Team.

10. Fred (81)

Fred's rating has improved after turning his fortunes around at United

FIFA 20 Rating: 79

After a very impressive turnaround for the Red Devils, Fred is fully deserving of his ratings increase.

A solid performer in midfield whenever called upon, Fred has warmed to the United faithful and become an increasingly important member of the team.

9. Luke Shaw (81)

FIFA 20 Rating: 81

It's hard to believe that it has been six years since Shaw joined Man Utd.

There has always been a feeling of 'what if?' with regards to the Englishman due to his injury troubles and how they impacted his progression. But now delivering on a more consistent basis, Shaw has kept hold of his 81 rating.

Quick and powerful as well, Shaw represents a very good option a left-back in all features in FIFA.

8. Harry Maguire (82)

The captain's rating has stayed the same

FIFA 20 Rating: 82

Maguire was undroppable for United last season. Even in cup games when Solskjaer rotated his team, the captain was still leading his side out and setting the example for others to follow.

The Englishman stays at 82, although I doubt he'll be too pleased with his 47 acceleration...

7. Aaron Wan-Bissaka (83)

Wan-Bissaka has seen his rating improve

FIFA 20 Rating: 79

The Spider enjoyed a very successful first season at Old Trafford, and has been rewarded with his rating improving by four.

Still not the finished product, Wan-Bissaka has received criticism for his decision-making when going forward.

But 4* skill moves isn't bad, is it?

6. Donny van de Beek (83)

FIFA 20 Rating: 83

United's one and only signing so far, Van de Beek has stayed at the same rating. Considering his maturity and consistency for Ajax, it's perhaps easy to forget that the midfielder is still only 23.

Versatile, young and with a real eye for goal, Van de Beek could be an excellent pick up on Ultimate Team...oh, and a top signing in real life as well, of course.

5. Anthony Martial (84)

Martial has taken his game to new heights

FIFA 20 Rating: 83

Martial has always had the talent, but the 2019/20 season saw him take his game to the next level.

The Frenchman finished the season as the Red Devils' top goalscorer with 23 goals and 12 assists to his name, and will be looking to build on that this term.

An upgrade to 84 is nothing less than what he deserves.

4. Marcus Rashford (85)

FIFA 20 Rating: 83

A game-changer on and off the pitch.

There aren't many better and more entertaining players on FIFA than Rashford - who managed 22 goals and 11 assists last term - with his pace, skill and finishing ability making him lethal on the attack.

And with a new rating of 85 now, well, he'll basically be unstoppable.

3. Paul Pogba (86)

FIFA 20 Rating: 88

Even when Pogba was injured last season, he was still somehow criticised for a number of different reasons as people looked for a scapegoat.

A ratings decrease was to be expected considering his time out in 2019/20, but having now overcome his troubles, the World Cup winner will be looking to show off his world class quality on a regular basis.

2. David de Gea (86)

De Gea's rating has dropped

FIFA 20 Rating: 89

Oh De Gea, what has happened, eh?

The shot-stopper has seen his rating drop by three after a season in which he continued to find ways to concede extremely soft goals.

With Henderson now back, the Spaniard's mistakes will not go unpunished with the Englishman ready to pounce.

1. Bruno Fernandes (87)

Bruno has been sensational since his arrival

FIFA 20 Rating: 85

The Portuguese magnifico.

Putting his simply extraordinary goals and assists tally aside, Bruno's overall impact on the team both on and off the field has been remarkable.

Even when not at his best, Fernandes still has the ability to pop up with the winning goal or carve open a defence with a sublime pass. An outstanding footballer.

Oh, and we hear he takes a mean penalty which may be of benefit to some on FIFA...
