With just two weeks of the Premier League season remaining, there's so much left to play for.

Manchester City have gained some ground on Liverpool in the race for the title, Arsenal are beginning to pull away from Tottenham in fourth, and Everton have significantly boosted their survival hopes.

Here is each team's best performing player from gameweek 36...

Arsenal - Gabriel Martinelli (9/10) vs Leeds United

What we said: "Gave Ayling the runaround in the early exchanges, especially in the lead up to Nketiah's second. Prompted the red card for Ayling for a reckless lunge. Wasteful at times."

Aston Villa - Emiliano Buendia (8/10) vs Burnley

What we said: "Floating around the pitch, Buendia clinically exploited the devilish pockets of space between the lines he found."

Brentford - Christian Eriksen (8/10) vs Southampton

What we said: "Another tremendous playmaking display from the Dane, effortlessly creating chances and keeping possession."

Brighton - Marc Cucurella (9/10) vs Manchester United

What we said: "Got forward really well, despite actually lining up as the third centre-back. Deserved his goal, smashing the ball past De Gea, and was a hugely effective outlet in attack."

Burnley - Nick Pope (6/10) vs Aston Villa

What we said: "Sharply off his line on a number of occasions but couldn't do much about either of Villa's precise finishes."

Chelsea - Romelu Lukaku (8/10) vs Wolves

What we said: "Hit and miss with his efforts on goal early on but grew in confidence after his penalty and finished brilliantly to seal a quick-fire brace."

Crystal Palace - Wilfried Zaha (8/10) vs Watford

What we said: "Converted from 12 yards to put his side in front. Created a shed load of chances for his teammates too, as his best season in recent memory continued."

Everton - Vitaliy Mykolenko (8/10) vs Leicester City

What we said: "What a goal! Expertly-taken volley into the bottom corner from the edge. Eventually forced off injured."

Leeds United - Diego Llorente (7/10) vs Arsenal

What we said: "Gave Leeds a ray of hope when he ghosted in at the far post from their first corner of the game"

Leicester City - Patson Daka (6/10) vs Everton

What we said: "Composed finish after being presented with a glaring opportunity by Everton's defence. Fairly quiet thereafter although almost a clever assist for Barnes."

Liverpool - Luis Diaz (8/10) vs Tottenham Hotspur

What we said: "Posed a huge threat drifting in off the left and was rewarded for that with a stroke of luck with his goal."

Manchester City - Raheem Sterling (8/10) vs Newcastle United

What we said: "A classic goal for Sterling, who arrived on time to head in. Didn't get many more shooting opportunities until second-half stoppage time, when he netted his second."

Manchester United - Nemanja Matic (6/10) vs Brighton

What we said: "Looked like he was trying to pick forward passes, but there was so little movement from others. Lucky he was withdrawn at half-time to avoid the second half horror show."

Newcastle United - Allan Saint-Maximin (6/10) vs Manchester City

What we said: "Allowed Cancelo to run beyond him for City's opener. Made an excellent chance which Wood couldn't convert and always looked like Newcastle's most threatening outlet."

Norwich City - Przemysław Płacheta (6/10) vs West Ham United

What we said: "Improved his side in the final third."

Southampton - Armando Broja (6/10) vs Brentford

What we said: "Always looked a threat and caused Brentford a number of issues."

Tottenham Hotspur - Son Heung-min (8/10) vs Liverpool

What we said: "Right place, right time for a tap-in. Always looking to test and stretch Liverpool."

Watford - Ben Foster (7/10) vs Crystal Palace

What we said: "His distribution just is not good enough for this level, though he did make some decent stops - especially in the second half."

West Ham United - Jarrod Bowen (9/10) vs Norwich City

What we said: "One horror miss aside, he was absolutely excellent. Surely an England call-up is in the pipeline."

Wolves - Jose Sa (9/10) vs Chelsea

What we said: "Called into action quite a few times and remained alert throughout, pulling out several fantastic saves. Wolves' best performer."
