Erling Haaland has picked his overhead kick against Southampton as his favourite goal from his debut season in the Premier League.

After joining Manchester City in the summer, Haaland has taken England by storm and recently broke the 38-game season scoring record with his 35th strike of the campaign against West Ham. He has since added a 36th for good measure.

There's obviously a lot of goals to choose from, but Haaland singled out his glorious strike against Southampton as his best.

"The Southampton goal is so nice, hanging there in the air for a bit," he told the Premier League. "I have to go with that."

He continued: "It was a really nice goal. The perfect ball from [Jack Grealish]. A really special goal. There's not much to say on it, because the goal really speaks for itself."

The FWA Footballer of the Year went on to admit that he was not worried about transitioning to the Premier League, but conceded that even he did not believe such an immediate impact was possible.

"I feel good, it's a special moment," he said. "I expected to do good things but, to do this, I didn't expect.

"It's really just about taking it game-by-game, to be honest, and to focus on what we can focus about. I don't like to focus on the future or the past. I like to live in moment and I like to take it game-by-game - exactly what [Pep Guardiola] said we were going to do and that's what we did.

"We focused and we achieved exactly what we wanted to achieve. In then end it's unreal what we did, being behind all season and we came like a unit together. It was amazing and an amazing feeling."
