Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has insisted he does not know of any planned changes to the club's structure ahead of possible investment from Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS.

Ratcliffe has agreed a deal to purchase a 25% stake in the club and is hopeful of completing a full takeover sometime in the future, while he is looking to actively lead United and has devised plans for a new leadership committee.

United's current structure is led by co-chairman Joel Glazer, who signs off on all major decisions but has not visited Manchester in over four years. Beneath him are football director John Murtough and director of football negotiations Matt Hargreaves.

90min understands that Ratcliffe would like to form a new three-pronged committee including himself, Glazer and INEOS director of sport Sir Dave Brailsford, who is best-known for his work in elite-level cycling.

Club shareholders will vote on the deal once negotiations reach advanced stages but there is a belief that Ratcliffe will be onboarded.

Speaking at a press conference on Friday ahead of this weekend's trip to Sheffield United in the Premier League, Ten Hag insisted that he was being kept out of the loop about the takeover process and is only focusing on managing the first-team.

Ten Hag was then asked if he knew of any possible restructuring at United if Ratcliffe's bid is successful, but admitted that he is only aware of certain 'agreements' made when he first joined the club last summer.

"At this moment, I'm not involved so I don't know. What I know are the agreements I made when I signed my contract," Ten Hag said.

"Until I hear anything I will just keep focussing on my job, focusing on this structure, winning games and trying to get the best out of the season."
