Crystal Palace and second-tier Stoke City square off on Tuesday night with a place in the FA Cup quarter-finals at stake.

After experiencing a mini wobble at the turn of the year the Eagles have improved of late, avoiding defeat in each of their last two Premier League encounters.

This game represents the third time they faced lower-league opposition in the competition this term, beating Millwall and Hartlepool in previous rounds.

Stoke have also only beaten lower-tier sides thus far, dispatching Leyton Orient and Wigan Athletic to reach this stage.

Here is everything to know about the game...

Crystal Palace team news & predicted lineup

Defensive duo Nathan Ferguson and Joel Ward are still missing for Patrick Vieira's side. Thankfully, these are the only two absentees he will have to deal with on Tuesday.

Although it may be tempting to rest players here, Palace should really be going full strength with their Premier League status all but secured for another season.

Crystal Palace predicted lineup vs Stoke City: Butland; Kelly, Andersen, Guehi, Mitchell; Gallagher, Hughes, McArthur; Olise, Mateta, Zaha

Stoke City team news & predicted lineup

Michael O'Neill was not confident about the chances of Josh Tymon and Jordan Thompson starting this one during his pre-match press conference. The pair missed training on Monday and face a race against time to be declared fit.

Tymon is likely to be risked even if not 100% with alternative left-back Morgan Fox suspended after picking up a controversial red card against Bournemouth at the weekend.

Stoke also have three players cup-tied with Phil Jagielka, Lewis Baker and Jaden Philogene-Bidace all featuring for other clubs in the competition already this season. This is a blow as the trio have played fairly regularly in recent weeks.

Stoke City predicted lineup vs Crystal Palace: Bursik; Wilmot, Chester, Moore, Tymon; Allen, Sawyers; Campbell, Powell, Wright-Phillip; Maja

Crystal Palace vs Stoke City score prediction

This has all the makings of a glorious FA Cup tie. The stakes are high, Stoke will be travelling in numbers and both teams know that defeat will effectively end their chances of concrete success this season.

Due to this, the Potters will make life hard for their hosts but overall the Premier League side should have more than enough quality – particularly up front – to progress in the competition.

Prediction: Crystal Palace 2-1 Stoke City
