Crystal Palace host Norwich at Selhurst Park as 2021 draws to a close for both sides on Tuesday.

A Covid-19 ravaged Palace side lost 3-0 against Tottenham on Boxing Day, while Norwich were beaten even more heavily (5-0) at home by Arsenal.

Each team is in need of points here, albeit for different reasons. A win for Palace gives them an excellent chance of climbing into the top half of the table if other results go in their favour, while are desperately seeking to escape the relegation zone.

Palace announced just hours before facing Spurs that Patrick Vieira was in self-isolation. The boss will again be missing here, while recent positive Covid-19 tests also mean that Christian Benteke, Luka Milivojevic, Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze are likely to be absent again as well.

Wilfried Zaha is suspended as a result of his Boxing Day red card and will soon be reporting for international duty with Ivory Coast ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations.

Jack Butland could keep his place in goal after recently starting ahead of Vicente Guaita.

Goalkeeper Tim Krul is still likely to be missing for Norwich with Covid-19, meaning another probable start for Angus Gunn. Grant Hanley is out, while Christoph Zimmermann, Mathias Normann, Milot Rashica and Andrew Omobamidele are also missing.

Lukas Rupp is still a doubt but others who were previously out with Covid-19 have already returned.

Crystal Palace vs Norwich head to head record

This has historically been a lower league fixture over the decades, but Palace and Norwich have met exclusively in the Premier League since 2013.

Norwich have only won one of those top flight meetings in that eight-year span - in November 2013 when Gary Hooper scored the solitary goal of a 1-0 victory at Carrow Road.

Palace went on to win three games in a row between August 2015 and September 2019, but the most recent meeting between the clubs was a 1-1 draw in January 2020.
