Crystal Palace will bring the calendar year to a close by hosting Norwich at Selhurst Park in the Premier League on Tuesday afternoon.

Patrick Vieira will still be missing from the dugout because of Covid-19 isolation, while several players are also unavailable for selection.

But the Eagles will still be expected to win and this is the team that could play...

1. Goalkeeper & defenders

Jack Butland (GK) - Has suddenly been favoured over Vicente Guaita for the last two Premier League games, which suggests he could start here too.

Joel Ward (RB) - More or less an automatic choice at right-back. Has even captained the side in three of his last four appearances.

Marc Guehi (CB) - Likely to come back into the side after being rested for the Spurs game.

James Tomkins (CB) - Should keep his place to partner Guehi, which would mean Joachim Andersen missing out.

Tyrick Mitchell (LB) - Was replaced by Nathan Ferguson in the final moments against Spurs but likely to return from the start here.

2. Midfielders

Conor Gallagher (CM) - As top scorer so far this season, he will be key here if Palace are to get an important win to end the calendar year.

Cheikhou Kouyate (CM) - Set for his 10th consecutive Premier League start since a brief spell out of the starting XI in October.

Will Hughes (CM) - In line to continue his run in the team in light of the expected absence of Luka Milovojevic.

3. Forwards

Jordan Ayew (RW) - Two direct goal contributions in Palace's last two home games stand him in good stead ahead of this one.

Jean-Philippe Mateta (ST) - Covid-19 absences and the suspension of Wilfried Zaha have severely limited Palace's attacking options, handing a very rare start to the Frenchman.

Odsonne Edouard (LW) - Won't be keen to play on the left but the situation deems it necessary.
