Conor Gallagher's Chelsea demands revealed amid Tottenham interest

Tottenham Hotspur are expected to make a fresh move for Conor Gallagher this summer if he does not agree a new contract with Chelsea, 90min understands.
Gallagher has been one of Chelsea's standout players of the season so far, most recently scoring a match-winning brace in Monday's 3-1 win away at Crystal Palace.
His deal at Stamford Bridge runs out in 2025 and there has not been much progression in talks over a fresh one, although head coach Mauricio Pochettino is keen for that to change.
The midfielder is seeking terms which are similar to that of Moises Caicedo, who signed for a British-record £115m transfer fee from Brighton & Hove Albion in the summer and is believed to be earning roughly £150,000-a-week.
Chelsea's club policy is to listen to offers for players who are in the final 18 months of their deal, and Gallagher entered that threshold at the start of this year. However, Chelsea's £60m valuation last month put off potential suitors.
90min understands this price could come down to around £50m if Gallagher has not signed a new contract by the end of the season, although Chelsea sources point to the £60m package Mason Mount commanded with his contract also ticking down last year.
Tottenham have a long-standing interest in Gallagher, with head coach Ange Postecoglou a fan of the England international. Should Chelsea still be receptive to a sale come the summer, Spurs could make an early move to sign Gallagher in a similar manner to last year's signing of James Maddison following Leicester City's relegation.
Pochettino has always sought to keep Gallagher but the club could sanction a sale regardless of the Argentine's opinion if the other members of their transfer hierarchy - including chairman Todd Boehly, co-owner Behdad Eghbali, co-director of recruitment and talent Joe Shields and sporting directors Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart - agree it is in the best interest of the club.
90min revealed on Wednesday that despite reports suggesting Chelsea are treading a fine line with the Premier League’s Profit & Sustainability Rules, this is not believed to be the case. The Blues could spend upwards of £200m this summer without danger and could still make a significant sum through player sales, which is part of the reason Gallagher offers may be entertained.
