Columbus Crew were crowned champions of Major League Soccer following their 2-1 triumph over LAFC and took to the streets to celebrate with their supporters.

The Crew became just the third team in league history to rack up three MLS Cups, etching their name into the history of books of North American soccer. To show appreciation for their fans who've supported the team since the MLS' inaugural 1996 season, the Eastern Conference team held a championship parade like any winning sports team would do.

Here are the best bits from the Crew's championship parade...

Just under one million people currently live in Columbus, Ohio, and it's no surprise to see so many fans turning up to see their beloved team show off their second MLS Cup in four seasons.

It was Yaw Yeboah who scored the winning goal, us his low strike kept the Black and Gold in front despite a late goal from Golden Boot winner Denis Bouanga.

Since joining in January 2022, Yeboah has established himself as a solid left-midfielder/left wing-back, taking on whatever he's asked to do by head coach Wilfried Nancy.

Even though the Crew captured the title just three days ago, homegrown midfielder Aidan Morris already has his eyes set on the 2024 season.

It'll be easier said than done, though. LAFC failed at going back-to-back despite reaching the final for the second straight season, and only three teams have successfully defended their MLS Cups with the last side being LA Galaxy in 2011 & 2012.

Only DC United (four) and LA Galaxy (five) have won at least three MLS Cups alongside the Crew, as the Ohio-based club has established themselves as a force to be reckoned with in recent seasons.

Columbus' other two titles came against Seattle Sounders (3-0) in 2020 and New York Red Bulls (3-1) in 2008.
