Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director Markus Krosche has confirmed he is "very confident" a deal will be struck to sign Donny van de Beek on loan from Manchester United.

As 90min revealed earlier this week, Van de Beek has undergone a medical with the German side ahead of a six-month loan deal that will also include the option for a permanent transfer worth around £15m.

Asked about the chances of the move going through, Krosche told reporters: "I am very confident that Donny will be with us for the next six months.

"We still need quality, also across the board. We need experience, we are a very young team. Donny can certainly help us with that."

Van de Beek is not the only United player wanted in Germany as winger Jadon Sancho could be offered the chance to return to the Bundesliga this winter.

Sancho, who is training away from the United first team after his public fall-out with manager Erik ten Hag, has attracted loan interest from Bayer Leverkusen, RB Leipzig and Stuttgart, although 90min understands Borussia Dortmund remain the most-likely landing spot for Sancho if he does leave Old Trafford.

United are prepared to accept loan offers for Sancho but are looking for an obligatory purchase clause as part of any agreement.

Club director John Murtough recently confirmed to fans that United's focus in the January transfer window would be on finding new homes for players on the fringes of Ten Hag's first team, with new signings unlikely this winter.
