Chelsea are eyeing their third successive FA Cup final appearance when they lock horns with Crystal Palace in the last four at Wembley.

The Blues will be keen to avoid a hangover from their frantic Champions League quarter-final exit at the hands of Real Madrid in midweek, where the Blues fought back from 3-1 down to go ahead on the evening before succumbing in extra time.

Patrick Vieira's side will be hoping for otherwise, with Palace set to be without their star performer this season, Conor Gallagher, against his parent club.

Romelu Lukaku was absent for Chelsea's midweek Champions League exit in Spain, with Tuchel revealing that the Belgian is suffering from an Achilles problem.

Callum Hudson-Odoi is expected to miss out this weekend - as is long-term absentee Ben Chilwell - although the Blues are hopeful Ross Barkley will be involved after he was sidelined in midweek through illness.

Crystal Palace team news

In a significant blow to Palace's chances of sealing a place in the final, Gallagher is unable to play against his parent club.

It means Vieira will be forced into a reshuffle in midfield, with winger Michael Olise also a doubt to start the game as he continues his recovery from injury.

Palace are also hopeful Tyrick Mitchell will be fit and available after he was forced off with a calf problem in last weekend's defeat at Leicester.

Chelsea vs Crystal Palace score prediction

Defeat in the League Cup to Liverpool earlier this season, as well as last year's failure at Wembley at the hands of Leicester, should not detract from Chelsea's status as clear favourites.

Losing at Leicester brought Palace's seven-game unbeaten run to an end, but they showed in the 3-0 defeat of Arsenal that they boast the quality to cut through the best of sides.

However, the Blues remain formidable on their day and they should have too much for Vieira's men on Easter Sunday.

Prediction: Chelsea 2-0 Crystal Palace
