Chelsea and Tottenham are continuing their respective searches for new permanent managers and assessing their options.

The Blues decided to pull the plug on the Graham Potter project last week and have brought back Frank Lampard as caretaker, while Spurs parted ways with Antonio Conte over the international break and have placed his former assistant Cristian Stellini in interim charge.

As both sides are looking for a new manager at the same time, 90min understands Chelsea and Tottenham do share some of the same targets.

Luis Enrique

90min reported earlier this week former Barcelona and Spain boss Luis Enrique had flown into London to hold talks with Chelsea regarding their vacancy.

Sources have since confirmed these talks went very well but Chelsea are planning to speak to various managers, while Enrique's representatives have also been contact with Tottenham. He remains one of Spurs' preferred candidates.

Julian Nagelsmann

After his shock sacking by Bayern Munich, Julian Nagelsmann quickly emerged as a leading contender for the Spurs job, while he shot to the top of Chelsea's list once they parted ways with Potter.

Chelsea held initial talks with the German at the start of the week. As mentioned, the west Londoners want to interview several candidates to assess their options, but sources say Nagelsmann and Enrique lead the way.

90min previously reported Nagelsmann would prefer to wait until the end of the season before deciding on his next move.

Mauricio Pochettino

Mauricio Pochettino has been linked to several Premier League posts since leaving Paris Saint-Germain last summer, but remains unemployed at this time.

While he has been again linked to the Chelsea job, 90min understands neither the Blues or Spurs have been in touch with Pochettino recently.

Pochettino previously rebuffed an approach from Chelsea and has spoken of his strong desire to return to Tottenham one day to help them win a title.

90min understands that, like Nagelsmann, the Argentine would rather decide on his future this summer, with the Real Madrid job of interest to Pochettino should Carlo Ancelotti leave the Spanish capital.
