Chelsea have not been enjoying their first season under Mauricio Pochettino with the team languishing down in 12th as they come into Saturday's Premier League clash with Sheffield United.

The Blues have lost their last two Premier League games which were away at Manchester United and Everton, so a defeat here could lead to some serious pressure on Pochettino. There seems to be a willingness to give the Argentine time given it is a mish-mash squad and there are lots of injuries, but the club's ambitious owners cannot be satisfied with their bottom-half position.

The trip to Goodison Park last Sunday gave Pochettino three new injured players so he is going to have an even harder time choosing the XI that he wants for this match at Stamford Bridge.

Here is the lineup that Pochettino may choose when Chelsea take on Sheffield United.

GK: Djordje Petrovic - Robert Sanchez was forced off against Everton with an aggravation of a knee injury, potentially paving the way for Djordje Petrovic's first Premier League start.

RB: Axel Disasi - The back four made up of centre-backs is set to return. Reece James was briefly fit, but he is injured again and it is becoming a sorry tale. Axel Disasi is likely to be called upon once more at right-back.

CB: Thiago Silva - The Brazilian veteran would probably love to have a steady defence around him, but the components seem to change every single week.

CB: Benoit Badiashile - Injuries to full-backs have provided Benoit Badiashile with a chance for consistent game time in the centre of defence, but he is yet to win over many fans.

LB: Levi Colwill - It is Colwill being pushed wide that gives Badiashile that time in the middle. He will be chuffed to be a starter at Chelsea, but he would rather play in the centre more frequently.

CM: Enzo Fernandez - This midfield has become the most consistent part of the team since Moises Caicedo got back to fitness, but fans still expect to see a lot more quality from Fernandez.

CM: Moises Caicedo - Liverpool fans are revelling in the fact that Caicedo has not pulled up many trees at Chelsea, but there is still plenty of time for him to become an effective cog in the engine room in this team.

AM: Conor Gallagher - The academy product is in an incredibly odd position at Chelsea. When fit, he is picked to start, and he wants a new deal. Yet, Chelsea might sell him in January though as they seek to raise funds for other players.

RW: Raheem Sterling - His time at Chelsea has been confusing so far. There have been signs of his best this season but they are few and far between. He is another player who is getting picked regularly but not really delivering for Pochettino.

ST: Nicolas Jackson - Another player being given plenty of chances, Jackson needs to start scoring else he could be ousted by the newly fit Armando Broja.

LW: Cola Palmer - The shining light this season, Palmer has to keep performing and hope that the others start to follow suit more effectively.
