It's been a tumultuous start to the 2022/23 season for Chelsea with life under Todd Boehly proving to be as chaotic as many foreshadowed.

The Blues are aiming to build for the long-term after replacing Thomas Tuchel with Graham Potter back in September. However, after a prosperous honeymoon period, Potter has found it difficult in his new post.

Injuries have certainly taken their toll and Potter will be hoping the likes of Reece James, Ben Chilwell and Wesley Fofana return in the new year. The Blues were winless in five before the break and currently sit eighth in the Premier League table.

Here's who they'll be taking on once domestic football returns after Christmas.

Chelsea vs AFC Bournemouth (27/12/22)

The Blues have a fairly kind fixture on their return as they host Bournemouth two days after Christmas. While Gary O'Neil has overseen an obvious improvement on the south coast, this is a contest Chelsea simply has to win - even if some of their World Cup stars are absent.

Nottingham Forest vs Chelsea (01/01/23)

Nottingham Forest also improved before the break but they still sit in the relegation zone. Steve Cooper's side have already beaten Liverpool at the City Ground this season, and they'll be looking to secure another big scalp on New Year's Day.

Chelsea vs Man City (05/01/23)

Chelsea twice take on Manchester City at the start of January in both the Premier League and FA Cup. The Citizens are aiming to eat into Arsenal's five-point advantage at the top of the table, while Potter will be concerned with attempting to slow down Erling Haaland.

Fulham vs Chelsea (12/01/23)

Fulham were excellent before the break and this fixture won't be the comfortable stroll that it typically is for the Blues.

The Cottagers are excellently coached and they'll be confident of securing their first victory in this fixture since 2006.
