Chelsea's hopes of a top ten finish in the Premier League came to an end on Saturday as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Nottingham Forest.

The Blues were poor in the first half as Taiwo Awoniyi opened the scoring early on, but Raheem Sterling netted twice at the start of the second period to put the hosts ahead.

However, Awoniyi's second - which was the third goal in the space of 11 minutes - saw Steve Cooper's side leave Stamford Bridge with a point.

The poor results just keep on coming for interim boss Frank Lampard and Chelsea, who had returned to normality to some degree by beating Bournemouth last week.

Here's what's up next for the Blues before their atrocious season finally comes to an end.

Mid April saw Chelsea handed defeats to Brighton and Real Madrid, the second of which finalised their Champions League exit at the hands of the reigning holders.

There was little respite with only the Premier League to focus on after their elimination from Europe, with Brentford winning on their trip to Stamford Bridge before the Blues were blown away 3-1 at Arsenal.

The win over Bournemouth was Lampard's first since returning as manager and did end a run of nine games without a victory, but that was followed by an uninspired home display against Forest where Sterling's double salvaged Chelsea a point.

Chelsea only have three games left to play this season and they are firm outside bets in each fixture.

First up is a trip to Manchester City, who are chasing Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup glory in the final month of the season.

A thumping at the hands of Pep Guardiola, Erling Haaland, Kevin De Bruyne and co isn't especially desired right now, but it's a trip Lampard must motivate his failing squad for nonetheless.

Just four days after Chelsea visit Manchester, they return to the world's first industrialised city to visit United's Old Trafford.

Erik ten Hag's squad put a recent slip in form aside to beat Wolves 2-0, further securing their spot in the top four. It's a United side chasing Champions League qualification and a massive 23 points ahead of the Blues.

After facing the current first and fourth ranked sides in the Premier League, Chelsea take on a Newcastle side currently third and looking for a return to the Champions League.

A tight game in November saw Joe Willock score the only goal of the game while Graham Potter was still in charge of the Blues.
