Brighton and Manchester United will square off in the Premier League on Thursday night in a repeat of last month's FA Cup semi-final.

United edged the cup game and tied this season's battle with Brighton, who kicked off the Erik ten Hag era at Old Trafford with a famous 2-1 victory in the first week of the campaign.

The Red Devils have figured themselves out since then and are firmly in charge in the race for a spot in the top four, but they must be very wary of a Brighton side capable of blowing anybody away in their quest to secure European football of their own.

Here's all you need to know about this one.

Brighton team news

Manager Roberto De Zerbi had to cancel his pre-match press conference on Wednesday because of an illness which may well keep him from running the touchline here.

As far as players go, right-back Joel Veltman limped off against Wolves and could miss out alongside Tariq Lamptey, Jakub Moder, Evan Ferguson, Jeremy Sarmiento and Adam Lallana.

Expect returns to the lineup for heavy hitters Moises Caicedo, Alexis Mac Allister, Kaoru Mitoma and Levi Colwill, despite Brighton's second unit shining in the 6-0 demoltion of Wolves.

Brighton predicted lineup vs Man Utd

(4-2-3-1): Steele; Gross, Colwill, Dunk, Estupinan; Caicedo, Mac Allister; March, Enciso, Mitoma; Welbeck

Man Utd team news

Raphael Varane is expected to return at some point this season but Ten Hag has confirmed that the centre-back will not make it to this one. He'll stick on the sidelines alonside Scott McTominay, Alejandro Garnacho, Lisandro Martinez, Donny van de Beek and Tom Heaton.

Most of the questions around United's team will revolve around form. Aaron Wan-Bissaka impressed against Mitoma in the semi-final and could get the nod at right-back, while there will also need to be a decision out wide after Jadon Sancho's underwhelming showing against Aston Villa.

Man Utd predicted lineup vs Brighton

(4-2-3-1): De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Shaw, Malacia; Casemiro, Eriksen; Fernandes, Sabitzer, Antony; Rashford

Brighton vs Man Utd score prediction

This is one of the few fixtures in the Premier League which could end with literally any scoreline and wouldn't raise any eyebrows.

Both Brighton and United have the ability to blow the other away, and both are just inconsistent enough to make a significant humbling a feasible outcome as well. It all depends on which version of each side turns up.

Ultimately, as was the case in the semi-final, expect the two teams to cancel each other out and share the spoils.

Prediction: Brighton 1-1 Man Utd
