Brazil are on the brink of glory - again.

The Selecao are 90 minutes away from defending their title as Copa America champions, and all that stands in their way is a date with Lionel Messi and Argentina at the famous Maracana.

Coach Tite will be aware of the expectations thrust upon him, as the nation gears up for carnival celebrations until the small hours of Sunday morning. But even with the home advantage and a plethora of talent at his disposal, the boss must get his team selection spot on.

So, here is the starting lineup which should take to the field in Saturday night's Copa America showdown with Argentina in Rio de Janeiro.

Brazil predicted lineup vs Argentina - Copa America 2021

1. Goalkeeper & Defenders

Ederson (GK) - Tite has put his faith in the capable hands of Ederson this summer, leaving Alisson Becker to watch on from the bench. We see no reason for that to change in the final.

Danilo (RB) - Enjoyed a solid season with Juventus and that has translated onto the international stage. Will face plenty of trickery on that flank.

Marquinhos (CB) - There are few better centre-backs in world football, so it's no surprise that Marquinhos will be at the heart of Brazil's backline for this showdown.

Thiago Silva (CB) - Despite his advancing years, Silva remains vital to the Brazil backline. That experience will come in handy for such a big final.

Renan Lodi (LB) -
The Atletico Madrid man started the semi-final, and he could well keep his place ahead of Alex Sandro at left-back. Will be tasked with marking Messi - good luck.

2. Midfielders

Casemiro (CM) - A reliable presence for Real Madrid and Brazil, Casemiro will anchor the midfield. If anyone is going to get a yellow card and get dragged into a skirmish, it's this man.

Fred (CM) - The Manchester United star has replaced Douglas Luiz in the Brazil midfield, and has done a decent job for his country. Fred should get the nod again.

Lucas Paqueta (AM) - Brought in to replace Gabriel Jesus following his red card, Paqueta has done the business, scoring the winner in both the quarter-final and the semi-final. A surprise hero.

3. Forwards

Everton (RW) - The winger began the game against Peru, and although he was taken off, he should retain his place for the final.

Neymar (ST) - The talisman of this forward line, Neymar drifts around, sparkling and dazzling all over the pitch. He's enjoying a wonderful Copa America.

Richarlison (LW) - A floating, live wire of a menace, Richarlison is there to pull defences around and drag them out of position, creating space for his fellow forwards.
