Traore, the brother of Manchester United starlet Amad Diallo, is now the subject of interest from Bournemouth, and 90min understands the Cherries are close to agreeing a deal to sign the Ivory Coast international.

Bournemouth have been busy trying to add to their squad for the second half of the season having been dragged back into a relegation battle.

They made an audacious attempt to sign Nicolo Zaniolo from Roma last week, only for the Italian to spurn their advances, while forwards Antoine Semenyo and Dango Ouattara have signed for a combined £30.5m.

They have now switched gears to Traore, who is capable of playing in midfield and on either flank. He's scored eight goals in 27 games in all competitions for Sassuolo so far this season.
