Summer signings Matthijs de Ligt and Sadio Mane both got on the scoresheet as Bayern Munich ran riot against Bochum, beating Die Unabsteigbaren 7-0.

Leroy Sane, Kingsley Coman, Serge Gnabry and an own goal from Cristian Gamboa completed the rout for Julain Nagelsmann's side.

Bayern hit the front fairly immediately at Vonovia Ruhrstadion through Leroy Sane. After some neat interplay on the edge of the penalty area, the German slammed the ball into the top right corner of the net.

The visitors' dominance continued thereafter and they soon doubled their lead. The second of the game proved to be Matthijs de Ligt's first as a Bayern Munich player, with the ex-Juventus defender heading home a Joshua Kimmich cross.

As Bochum's Twitter admin aptly put it, a 'self-destruction' occurred in the 33rd minute to give Bayern a three goal lead. A rather odd attempted header back to Manuel Riemann culminating in Kingsley Coman stealing in to score.

FC Hollywood weren't done before half-time either, as new signing Sadio Mane scored the fourth. Coman turned provider this time, sliding the ball through to his forward partner who, after cutting from the right of the penalty area, slotted the ball past Riemann in the Bochum goal.

Bayern continued to turn the screw after the half-time interval and, after spurning a few chances, eventually made it 5-0 from the penalty spot. Mane stepped up to convert said penalty.

Things got even worse for the home side ten minutes later when Cristian Gamboa deflected the ball into his own net to score Bayern's sixth goal of the game. It then got even worse for Bochum, as they conceded a seventh with substitute Serge Gnabry getting on the scoresheet.

FC Hollywood have now scored 15 goals in their first three league games of the season and conceded just one.
