Goalkeeper Becky Spencer has signed a new two-year deal at Tottenham, keeping her at the club until 2024.

Spencer joined Spurs in 2019 ahead of the club's maiden season in the WSL, following spells with West Ham, Chelsea, Arsenal, Birmingham and French outfit Soyaux.

The Jamaican international made her Spurs debut against former club Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the club's first ever WSL match. She has gone on to make 51 appearances in all competitions for the north London side.

“The direction the club is going in, the staff, players, and fans made the decision really easy for me," Spencer told Tottenham's official club website. "I feel comfortable here, it’s like a home. Where we are now is incredible and I can’t wait to see what is to come.”

Tottenham have enjoyed a thoroughly impressive season under Rehanne Skinner, spending much of the campaign embroiled in a battle for the WSL's final Champions League spot.

Spurs have taken points off Manchester City, Arsenal and Manchester United this season, and although they have fallen off the pace in recent weeks, they remain on course to record the club's highest ever WSL finish.

Spencer becomes the latest Spurs player to commit her future to the club after captain Shelina Zadorsky took up the one-year extension on her contract on Monday, keeping her in north London until 2023.
