Bayern Munich get back to action on Friday night, looking for a seventh consecutive win in all competitions as they host Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga.

Julian Nagelsmann's side have been dominant of late, enjoying six straight victories since losing to Augsburg last month. Most recently, they thrashed Stuttgart 5-0 last time out.

Sitting nine points clear at the top of the table, they face a Wolfsburg side that has disappointed after their fourth-placed finish last term. Die Wolfe currently sit 11th in the Bundesliga and are currently in a deeply concerning run of form, having lost their previous six in all competitions.

Here's 90min's preview of the game...

Nagelsmann will once again have to contend without the services of a few key players as Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka remain absent, with Corentin Tolisso, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting and Josip Stanisic also out of contention.

Florian Kohfeldt also has several injury problems within his squad. Lukas Nmecha, Luca Waldschmidt, Paulo Otavio, Admir Mehmedi, Xaver Schlager and William are all expected to miss out on the trip to Munich through injury.

Meanwhile, Jerome Roussillon will be absent through suspension, likely allowing John Brooks to come into the starting XI.

Bayern Munich vs Wolfsburg head to head record

The German champions boast a remarkably dominant record against Friday night's visitors, winning 44 of the two sides' 55 encounters and losing just five (six draws).

Wolfsburg have failed to beat Bayern since winning 6-5 on penalties in the 2015/16 DFL-Supercup, and have lost all but one of the subsequent 14 meetings.

In that time, Die Roten have completely dominated the fixture and boast an aggregate score of 46-9 over Die Wolfe - including the famous 5-1 victory in which Robert Lewandowski notched all five within a nine-minute period (as seen above).

Bayern Munich vs Wolfsburg prediction

Well, we may not get to see something quite as special and historic as that display by the legendary Pole, but we should get goals.

If there's one thing Bayern know how to do, it's put the ball in the back of the net - over and over again - and, coming up against a Wolfsburg side who have lost each of their previous six (compared to Friday's hosts winning their last six), this one should be pretty simple to call.

Even without the presence of key figures in the side, Nagelsmann's team has demonstrated a staggering depth in quality and continue to command the matches in which they play.

So, hosting a side in truly woeful form, a ruthless Bayern victory is the only logical prediction.

Prediction: Bayern Munich 4-0 Wolfsburg
