Bayern Munich will attempt to at least temporarily establish a 12-point lead at the top of the Bundesliga as they host Wolfsburg on Friday night.

Since losing 2-1 to Augsburg last month, Julian Nagelsmann's side have been insatiable and will aim to earn a seventh straight victory in all competitions on Friday night. Die Roten's commanding spell includes victories against Borussia Dortmund, Mainz and Stuttgart domestically as well as a 3-0 beating of Barcelona to seal a perfect Champions League group stage.

They'll face a Wolfsburg side that has, by contrast, lost its previous six in all competitions and disappointingly, as well as concerningly, sit 11th in the Bundesliga table. Here's who Nagelsmann could field to carry on his side's spectacular form.

1. Goalkeeper & Defenders

Manuel Neuer (GK) - The best goalkeeper in the world hasn't missed a minute of Bundesliga or Champions League action this campaign.

Benjamin Pavard (RB) - Has picked up his performances of late and should deservedly earn a sixth successive league start.

Niklas Sule (CB) - Awarded a first start in five last time out and, after a solid showing, could keep Dayot Upamecano out of the side.

Lucas Hernandez (CB) - Has started every league game for his side since returning from injury in August, and should continue at the heart of defence for the visit of Wolfsburg.

Alphonso Davies (LB) - Wasn't typically dazzling against Stuttgart on Tuesday evening, but should retain his place at left-back.

2. Midfielders

Marc Roca (CM) - With several injury-enforced absences in midfield, Roca should be in line to fill in from the start for a second game running.

Jamal Musiala (CM) -
The aforementioned injury woes have forced Musiala to deputise in Bayern's midfield pivot for the previous five outings. Why should we be surprised that he's excelling there, too?

Thomas Muller (AM) - The assist king has already set up 15 Bundesliga goals this term, and seems to only be getting better as time progresses.

3. Forwards

Serge Gnabry (RW) - Put in an inspired performance last time out, scoring three and assisting two as Bayern beat Stuttgart 5-0 - he'd be hard done by to not start this one.

Robert Lewandowski (ST) - Put an end to a hideous one-game goal drought with a brace on Tuesday night, and will inevitably start on Friday in search of his 19th Bundesliga goal of the season already.

Leroy Sane (LW) - Replaced the injured Kingsley Coman during Bayern's last outing and should be drafted into the lineup to continue his scintillating form.
