Bayern Munich will host Manchester City on Wednesday as they seek to complete a miraculous comeback in their Champions League quarter-final second leg.

A crushing 3-0 defeat at the Etihad has pushed Thomas Tuchel's side to the brink of elimination, forcing the Bundesliga side to throw everything they have at perhaps the most in-form side in Europe right now.

Here's the lineup Tuchel could opt for in pursuit of a huge win.

Bayern Munich predicted lineup vs Man City (4-2-3-1)

GK: Yann Sommer - Sommer has come up against Erling Haaland four times in his career and has shipped five goals to the Norwegian.

RB: Benjamin Pavard - After scoring at the weekend, Pavard may have the confidence needed to contain Jack Grealish.

CB: Dayot Upamecano - Few struggled more in the first leg than Upamecano, but the Frenchman is likely to retain his spot in the side.

CB: Matthijs de Ligt - Bayern will lean on De Ligt in their attempts to stop Haaland from adding to the scoreline.

LB: Alphonso Davies - Davies' speed and acceleration may be key against a City side whose right-back isn't always in his natural position.

DM: Joshua Kimmich - The first leg saw Kimmich impress in Bayern's midfield and he'll hope that more of his teammates can match that level here.

DM: Leon Goretzka - Goretzka brings the sort of physically needed to go up against City's combination of elegance and brute force.

RM: Kingsley Coman - The jury seems to be out on Serge Gnabry, giving Coman another chance to start.

AM: Jamal Musiala - Figuring out how to get Musiala in the game will be key to Bayern's chances. They need him.

LM: Leroy Sane - The former City man may be sporting the war wounds of his clash with Sadio Mane but won't let that slow him down.

ST: Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting - He completed a full training session on Monday which may earn Choupo-Moting an immediate start, such is the importance of this game.
